I may have enjoyed this more if I had read it rather than listened to the audiobook but I found Violet quite annoying! She is only 16/17 yet she kept on keeping everything a secret from everyone and I had thought she was more sensible than that. But I still had to keep on listening to get to the end and it did have a satisfying conclusion for me.

Ian recommended this book to me; after 150 pages of foreshadowing, the plot finally moved along to its non-conclusion. Like previous sci-fi reads, loved the images that stuck with me, hated reading the awkward writing. (Sci-Fi; 400 pages)

I hated this book every step of the way. It was definately a style of writing that I hate! I kind of relate it to Charles Dickens "A Tale of Two Cities" - WAY TOO MUCH DETAIL!!! I didn't like her description of "her heaven", I thought it was very voyeuristic. After discussing it with my book club though I was able to find aspects of it that I did like & so I bumped up my rating to 2 stars instead of just one. Having the same last name as the murderer was a BIG NEGATIVE though!!!
