Redeeming Love is the retelling of the biblical love story of Hosea and Gomer. The story is set in the 1850s during the California gold rush. Though the story is predictable, I found it difficult to put down. This is a religious book and is full of bible verses and reminders of God’s unconditional love for everyone, including sinners and non-believers. I don’t often read religious books but I quite enjoyed this one. In fact, I finished it a few days ago and have intentionally avoided selected my next book because I’m still enjoying memories of this one. Many thanks to my physical therapist for recommending this one. I doubt I would have stumbled upon it on my own.

Risotto is really one of the easiest things to cook, and there are almost no limitations as to what you can add to your risotto. But I also really love Risotto, and always appreciate external inspiration, of which this enjoyable little book contains plenty. (it has other rice recipes as well, but mainly risotto). Remember: ALWAYS use FRESH cheeses! If your idea of parmeggiano comes from a can, don't even bother! (you'll thank me for this later)
