Such a wonderful follow up to Paranormalcy! The characters remained amazing as did the story. And, I was hoping for more information about Evie, and I finally learned a few things about her. So very pleased! Evie learns some new things about herself and the ones around her. We see a little more of the Faerie Realms as well as some other paranormals. This second novel was not at all what I had expected. The ride just kept going. White also introduced us to a new character, Jack, who is a human that can travel by Faerie Path. He's rather a questionable character at first and remains questionable throughout the course of this second installment. It leaves you to wonder if we will see more of him in the 3rd book, Endlessly. As for Lend and Evie and the rest of the gang, they were still amazing. The reader had a chance to hear more about Arianna and what happened to her and her creator. We learn how vampires were created and about Evie's family. We also see a little of Evie's high school life and her torment about not being able to be with Lend. I really thoroughly enjoyed this book and still recommend this series to anyone 13 and older.

Required text for Second Language Acquisition class Author attempts to make current research accessible to teachers. Does an ok job of that...Author focuses mostly on classrooms in the UK. Good chapters on specific language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), though!
It took a second try to get into this book but after reading the first 100 pages over again I was hooked. Very well written and keeps you interested and wanting more. Great author and can't wait to read more from her.

Claire Cook's books are always good for a fun and easy read. This was more a snippet in the a few weeks in the life of rather than a book with a solid plot... it sort of just ambled along. But it was good for lots of smiles and snickers. You can always count on Cook to make you laugh!
It's not the best literature ever, but it got my 13 yr. old son to put aside his video games and read straight for a day and a half. He then moved on the the next two books, so I can't complain.

The fact that this was written by a 22 year old women (or younger I think) is unbelievable. Get's a little long winded on social commentary towards the end but the writing is tense, flowing. Really really well written. And the fact that this women could write from so many different points of view with such limited life experience. Its true genius.

This book got me off ham. Need I say more?
I didn't like it as much as Savannah Blues. Maybe because it's in Atlanta. it's about married people and divorce where the woman did not know about the finances in her own marriage. Dumb! The other characters I liked more than the main one.

Cornwell's Richard Sharpe begins a long career of fightin' and lovin' in this first book of the Sharpe's Adventures series. Set in India in 1799, this historical fiction has a little more fiction and less history than some later books in the series, but still portrays key events of a historically important battle. Richard Sharpe is a nineteenth century, musket wielding James Bond, and makes for a fun, if violent, read. The author appends a few notes that correct and clarify the history surrounding his tale, allowing you to tell yourself it's an educational read instead of a visceral book of war and mayhem!
