My life changed in unimagined ways when my best friend completed suicide 3 and a half years ago. Until recently the experience left me with the feeling that she had the right idea. If it hurts leave it. Right? No, not right. How many times have we heard or thought about appreicating the people in our lives now? Too many to count yet we forget. We are too busy, too something. Or maybe we just think they know. The reason everyone needs to read this book is to relearn the lesson: We aren't too busy and so what if they do know. Tell them/show them again. And again. Then again. It makes living more worth it for all of us. Read it.

Perhaps the best of the Dresden Files, Butcher takes a narrative chance on tying up the loose ends of Harry Dresden's life before his metamorphosis into something else. Sometimes a little sluggishly paced for a Dresden book; this effort could have been trimmed. Still, it was worth it to see Dresden get an amazing gift (view spoiler). I was moved and thrilled by this book, and hope that Butcher follows through with the radical narrative change he seems to be proposing in this book.

I really like this book! It's an really helpful book because it teaches me how to be positive and have a better relationship with other people. In the story, Dale Carnegie, the author, told about his life experiences. For example, he once faced a big problems, but instead of feeling depressed, he tried to think positively, and the problem was solved shortly after. This book really helps me on how to face problems and solve them easily without any troubles.

Is it politically correct to call a dead teen a corpsickle? In Generation Dead author Daniel Waters introduces concepts that surpass political corectness -- things like peer pressure, prejudice, and violence towards misunderstood minority groups. In this book the minority group is a group of teens who have been dead and have come back to life. The Generation Dead are called by some interesting (and funny) names such as "living impaired" and "differently biotic." Even though the concept is far-fetched the story does make you think about the way that we treat people or groups of people we may not know much about.

I loved this book. As a former psychology major who is a pop music junkie, I really enjoyed this book. I feel like I learned a lot, however, I need to read more on the subject. The need to read more, is not due to a lack information on the author's part, but the need to revisit this information again to absorb more. As there was a lot of neurological terms, the book was a tad dry and difficult at times as I am not very scientific minded or knowledgeable (I have limited knowledge of the brain from psychology studies, but a lot of it was forgotten.) I am sure people in science would find this a fluffy easy read. I think any informative non-fiction will be a little dry in parts to lay people who read it. Overall, it's good. Anyone who read this recommend another book on this topic?

I read this book compulsively. I often don't like modern/experimental writing, but this one really worked for me. I felt like every element was carefully considered and added something valuable. It was a piece of art and a good story.
