It may have been my mood at the time I started it, but it really took some dedication to keep reading and get into this book. It got more interesting as I read on, but...I am willing to bet there are other books out there about TJ that would be more interesting to get through.

I really enjoyed this book. Janice dished a lot of dirt, she wrote from the heart, she was dedicated and tried to be a good girlfriend and sister even while doing massive amounts of drugs and partying all night. Somehow she managed to graduate and go to college... I do wish that she'd delved into her thought process more, but I liked reading about her exploits all the same.

So bizarre. So silly. So wonderful. This was my first sci-fi novel, I read it when I was like 11. I haven't since then...I think I'll re-read!

If you are having any trouble breastfeeding, this is the book that will fix it.
In general I'm a much bigger fan of clever than funny and while I found this book very funny, I didn't think it was particularly clever. It's probably the simple difference the author listing their profession as "comedian" and not "humorist." Honestly I really enjoy Chelsea's brash style of humor but it didn't translate perfectly for me in book form. Many times I couldn't decipher the sarcasm that is so important in truly getting her. I laughed a lot, but think that I'll probably just go to the show when I'm looking for her pop-culture barbs instead of reading another of her books. I don't think she'd be upset when I call her book great for laughs, but kind of trashy.

This book is a brain cells killer. I will not recommend it to anyone of my acquaintance. I didn’t like any of the characters in this book. And my only feelings toward the main heroine were pity and irritation. I often caught myself on a thought, that she is a slutty, stupid and immature. I didn’t like the style either. The language was poor and the author uses the rule of three far too often. I mean a constant repeating of the same things and phrases in hopes that the “stupid” reader will understand all the seriousness of the situation. I managed to read this book until the end only because a friend asked my opinion on it. And even a good looking cover doesn’t make this book “OK”. Usually I don’t make a review of books I didn’t like, because everyone’s tastes are different. I just wanted to alert you about this book, because the high rating on it is inadequate and you will be better off without it polluting your mind.
The Blind side is a story about Michael Oher, he was discovered for his size and speed, while in high school. When NFL teams wanted large, strong, and fast left tackles to protect the quarterback's blind side, Michael Oher was large, strong, and fast so his college time was basically all about sports. He was the son of a crack-addicted mother and a murdered father, he was incredibly shy, and wasn’t as smart as other kids. He didn’t have a home was basically all alone. Sean Tuohy is a millionaire who had a daughter in Oher's class, and he had helped African-American students in the past. He and his wife took an interest in Oher, providing him food and clothing, and eventually having him moves into their home as one of their family.

I loved this whole series growing up.
