I keep rereading this book, hoping that there will be more at the end. Bujold has created something absolutely spectacular, and I'm only sad to see her leave our valiant (and tired) Cazaril in his chair, forever.

I was looking forward to this book as a boarding school novel, since I guess that's what I'm into these days. There were some interesting parallels with my Taft experience. I guess I had trouble getting into it though until about halfway in, the first part of the book is really short on plot, which is intentional but allowed me to space out.

I haven't used this one yet. I previewed it and loved it. The illustrations are just beautiful and it tells a beautiful story about making new friends. The animals go off to a dance in pairs - due to the dark, the pairs get mixed-up. After the initial surprise, the animals realize they are enjoying their new friends!

What an intense ride. Everyone in Travis' life either does drugs or drinks, and when he comes home from college (he flunked the semester) for the summer, after ignoring all of his friends, the party immediately picks up. Travis never meets his "perfect" parents expectations, and he can't escape the temptations all around him. He was never the greatest guy in high school, and his bad reputation has followed him everywhere. The heavy drugs and drinking made me feel super uncomfortable especially when I realized there was no end in sight. What would be the breakthrough, I kept asking myself. EXIT HERE isn't a story about happy endings or everything falling into place -- it's just not. Travis has to come to terms with his past, and (I was hoping) escape the bad influences that are all around him. (Like ALL AROUND HIM.) EXIT HERE is dark and completely heartbreaking. Readers who don't mind YAs with a ton of recklessness and adult situations in them should definitely pick this one up. Jason Myers is a fantastic writer, who crafted a FULL story with great character development and so many so many feelings. This book was published in 2007 and I couldn't help but think it's a well-done New Adult in many ways. Kids out of high school and in the real world. Even though these characters made one bad decision after another (and normally this would frustrate me and ruin my reading experience), I was totally captivated and probably could have read EXIT HERE in one sitting.

This series is amazing!!! I've always been interested in Greek Mythology, and have always LOVED fantasy books. What with this series being a combination of the two I just have to love them! Rick Riordan molded the Greek myths to work for him without completely destroying them(what I think would be a very strenuous job). Kudos to him!:)

Tremendous book. It is great to read the behind the scenes view of one of the most amazing corporations in history. Nothing is done by chance. It had great tie ins to other corporations and how every industry can run with the same principles. One of the better self help business books that I have read. Definitely recommend if you need a good business book to read!!

4.5 stars! This peek into Doug's life showed us hardship and tough times. But Doug discovered his love and talent for art through Audubon's Bird's of America and eventually found out that he could do whatever he set his mind to. Inspiring and humorous at the same time. Great book.
