A fun fluffy read, very similar to Charlaine Harris' True Blood series in style and content.

It's been a few days since I last read a book... I must admit I got sidetrack with my life. Anyway I picked up this book because I saw a funny quote from it while I was browsing for information pertaining a paper for a class and I decided to read it. I must say It was an extremely wonderful book, I usually grade 4 stars to all the books because even if I don't really like them, they took hard work and dedication from a lot of people and that must count for something... This book tells a story of so many things, of good and evil, of fathers and sons, of family, of friends, of relationships, of love, of Hope... it tells the story of Louis and Ginna, a Fallen angel, The Devil and a mortal, a Catholic mortal... it tells a beautiful story, but like it's written in it´s pages the beauty is in the whole, the lack of happiness it's whats wondrous. This book is extremely worth reading, an excelent choice... There are books you read because you want to be part of a story and there are books that you read because they make you feel or they make you think. I loved this book because it made me feel and it made me cry... then again maybe it was just me, who knows. I just anguish over the lack of epilogue epilogue >:]

okay okay, so mary robison is a genius short story writer. Her characters especially, feel real, are trying really hard, get slapped down most of the time. that doesn't make me resent her any less. jjk, hah.

I just finished Out of the Black, and loved it! there were some spots where it kind of had some weird tie in’s with the different characters, and bring the various situations together into one story line, but for the most part it was a really fun and smart read. The author has snarky puns down to an art. I found myself laughing out loud quite often(which earned me a lot of strange looks on the train). The humor was a great tension breaker all the way to the end of the book. The style of writing that the author used to bring the story line was rather interesting, especially at the end when you could see everything getting pulled together. There was a great ‘Aha!’ moment right before the end when all the stories merged. While it is an obvious science fiction piece, it’s not a storyline that has you doubting the plausibility of what’s going on. The characters really brought you into the story, and I felt really connected to and invested in most of the characters throughout the book. I definitely recommend this to everyone – it can be enjoyed by fans and non fans of science fiction.

An absolutely delightful guide to usage--you'll find at least one or two things you didn't previously know, but you'll really just enjoy his wit, and learning more about British English versus American English.
liked it and going to read more of the series but I just wish there was more romance and more suspense as to whether the two lovebirds would be together. The funny thing is that I liked most the chapters that the narrators were not Wrath or Beth :P I'm really intrigued and can't wait to read Zsadist and Butch's story. Too bad it's Rhage next...

3.5 stars The angelic images of the author as a young man, learning to walk in spite of being told it was impossible and defending himself against schoolyard bullies, will stick in my mind for a long while. It is quite sickening to realize that, for many people, attacking those who apparently cannot defend themselves is a way of life; it is equally heartening to see that Davison is one "spacka" or "cripple" who has learned to fight back (and who, apparently, seeks to teach others to do the same through his Martial Hearts program). Powerful illustrations, in a variety of mediums and styles, convey the deepest feelings of the author, the pains and the joys, that he has faced coming to terms with the "spiral cage" of his life with spina bifida. I also appreciate the role that faith--specifically, Nichiren Buddhism--has played in Davison's life, in helping him (and hopefully others) to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. An awesome comic book by an awesome character.
Brilliant. I've re read this one a couple of times because there's so much detail.

几年前,我在舞台上演奏了Mayella,所以我重读了这本书。 首先在小学读。 这是我要说的电影和小说一样出色的几本书之一。
