Disturbing, distressing and completely readable - sometimes incredibly painful to read. I think the graphic novel made the revolution, the war, the changes in everyone's lives much more real. How confusing to be told the Shah was chosen by god one day, then to be made to cut his pictures out of books the next. I was glad Marjane had her grandmother - she seemed the most sensible, human of them all.

This is the final (boo) book in the Protector of the Small Quartet where we see Kel becoming a Knight and receiving her first mission - to build and protect a refuge camp during war. She is frustrated with the assignment but, of course, she is the perfect choice with her tactical skills and compassion for all. When something terrible happens, the fate of many lives, and the war, falls on her shoulders. Can she succeed? This is probably the 4th time I've read through the series and I love it more each time. The only disappointment - I want more! Sure, there is a scene or two with Kel in it in the Trickster books...but I want to know more! I want to know if Kel finds military success and romantic happiness!!!!!! Please someone make a movie out of this book/series!

Getting to Yes Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

This was a cute read. My problem was with the plot. How can a parent send a daughter to brat camp or even worse military camp over trouble with boys. Its seem to me the dad didn't care enough for his daughter to do anything. He allowed the stepmother to make all the decisions and of course she just sent her away. I like the plot better when the reader got to the camp. We saw Shelby grow in who she is. She was able to open up over matters that were bothering her. The wolf part was good. I like the twist of the story and how is all played out. The both of them got along well and had similar past. They were there for each other and understood each other very well. They did not allow anything get in between them. I like how the leaned on each other for anything. The trust with them built up was good and true. My only gripe was the parent situation. I wish the father would be more understanding and loving to his daughter instead of letting someone else do it. It's not no wonder she had major trust issues. Over all it is a good book.

Holes By: Lois Sachar. I did really like this book, things that I liked the most about it were that the Yelnats family had a curse that they would be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This was due to the first Stanley Yelnats since he forgot to carry a women called Madame Zeroni up a hill to drink from a river and sing to her while she drank. I liked the coinsidence of Stanley Yelnats the fourth who carried Zero up a hill and he did not know about Zero being a decendant of Madame Zeroni. Stanley also had to dig a little to find water, so he gave some to Zero and for the greatest coinsidences of all he sang the same song Madame Zeroni had told the first Stanley Yelnats to sing to her. Another thing I liked about this book is that they told you two stories at a time to tell you about the scenery and how it used to be in the past. This other story also told about a forbidden love between two people, one was a a teacher called Katherine and the other was a salesman who sold onions and was called Sam. The salesman was a colored person and the teacher was white and in those times it was forbidden for a white person to have a relationship witha a colored person. One day they were caught kissing and people burnt the school and afterwards killed Sam who was the salesman, after this the Camp Green Lake became a desert. Another thing I liked about this book was another coincidence, which was that the treasure chest had Stanley Yelnats' name. I think people should read this book because it has a unique way that it is written and it is a really good and interesting book.

A classic play by Mr TWilliams. Probably my favorite of anything he's done. The drunken, disheartened Episcopal priest who studied at Sewanee (a real place that I attended as well) on the down and out in the tropics. Williams, as he seems to have knack for, combines native brilliance with the internal squalor of a man who can't seem to let it all go and the intelligent, capable female in his life who helps bring him back around. (This is probably blasphemy here on GR, but the movie is a lot of fun.)
