With "New Moon", it's the worst book I've already seem. The first "Twilight" is interesting and even nice, but looks like Stephanie Meyer got lost with her storys, creating that thing she calls book

It was a good read about an american icon who led a fascinating and fantastical life.

I thought I might like a bit of light reading after having just finished "The Time-Traveler's Wife". Instead I just kept noticing the really dull language and almost childish descriptions of emotions and thoughts. Neat story. Might be forgotten in a week.

I think this is the firs Hemmingway I've read since high school. He's an amazing writer, and I couldn't put it down! You really feel like you are living what he is writing, and I like the way he puts the reader into the head of the main character.
A nice, quick read. Turgenev always fills you up and never lets you down. Heh.

This book was an eye opener for me, because I found all the conversations I'd had as a kid with my parents outlined in it. Not many people have training in parenthood, so I think a lot of people just do what their parents did. This is worthwhile communication book for parents. The last time I read it, which was now a couple of years ago, one of my favorite parts was a list of responses that shut down communication from kids and the list of easy openers. I also liked the sections on how to approach conversations about problems the kid has vs. problems that you have with the kid's behavior.

A weak 3 stars ... the storyline had a lot of potential, but I felt like the majority of the characters needed their personalities turned up a notch. Plus, I found one of the "good guys" to be super creepy. I've enjoyed most of Jennifer Weiner's books, so I will keep reading.

I couldn't wait to read this book. I loved her earlier book, The Last Life, so when I saw all the amazing reviews it was getting I got it right away. I liked it, but honestly, I didn't love it. It was engaging and a good vacation read, but the characters drove me a bit crazy (as they are supposed to) and I wondered a little bit about the point in the end. It's definitely a commentary on the life of 30-somethings, so that part is fun (and sort of depressing).
