Cornelia Funke(Author of Inkheart and Inkspell) does a very good job at capturing children's emotions. She totally caught me by surprise at the end, but in a good way. I never really knew much about venice and all its little nooks and alleys until after I read this book. It makes me want to ride on a merry-go-round too ;D

Smacks of being a sequel. Tied in the 2nd book without much explanation as to how certain characters got to where they were.

Never read self help books but this one was worth the read! Is very applicable to any relationship in life.

I like to read young adult books when I am in the mood and I enjoyed this one as well. It was an easy read that had all the requisite "I am in trouble now because I used my magic" stories.
Can't put into words how amazing this book was!! I've never heard, seen, or read anything even remotely similar to it!! My sister heard me gushing about it and asked me summarize it for her, I told her I couldn't, she just had to read it for herself!!! Cannot wait to see what awaits me in Catching Fire :)

This book was just okay, in my opinion. It was smarter than most chick lit, but it was part of the genre nonetheless. It was a good break from all the highbrow literature I had been reading since the year began. A girl could read this easily in one rainy day.

LOLZ-4-EVER and so much more. I just re-read this for approx. the hundredth time. Goodreads needs a feature where you can have a little counter that counts when you've read something a hundred times. Then it becomes, like, a superbook. In short, R&G is seriously a superbook. Seriously.

A masterfully written novelette that makes you fall in love with the highly flawed main male character. I read this incredibly long ago and yet it will forever stay with me.

Andrea Gillies is an excellent teacher. I learned more about dementia from this book than from anything I have read so far. I also learned about Andrea's all too human heart. She is an amazing survivor-caretaker. Bravo for all you did for your family, Andrea. I also wanted to say that the cover art is perfect for the story- the little world surrounding an armchair, with a woman's blurred outline just on the edge of the picture perfectly captures what Andrea described. Nancy became a blur of motion and speech which gradually faded into nothingness. I remember years ago when I was in grade school, my dad came home from a house call (he is a podiatrist). He told me that a person's life gets smaller and smaller as they get older, and eventually it includes just their arm chair and the surrounding area.

This book was amazing. I got so wrapped up in it that I thought that I was an actual hacker by the end. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone even if you have no real knowledge of computers or hacking.
