A very short review: too much sex, too short story, abrupt ending. Still, if you are looking for hot sex & not much plot, this is for you ;-). It is a pity though, because it is well written and the potential for some depth was there. Please notice: - For my rating I'm not taking into account the fact that I bought a 110 pages-PDF and found out the story was exactly 66 pages: the blame for that lies with Samhain! - I've read almost everything by K.A. Mitchell and she usually gets 4 stars from me

I finished this book a week ago and the characters are still running strong in my mind. It doesn't help that I live really close to a traditional steam railway with trains running late into the night, which is VERY creepy I can tell you!! This book has so much going on, the characters so strong, the storyline multi-layered and complex, and the attention to detail superb. The ending is pretty good too, very satisfying. I bought this on my kindle and will be buying a paper copy too because I love the cover. My only niggle is that the name of the 2 protagonists were quite similar to me and I had to really think about who was who (Creed/Stride) but that's just me. They scanned as similar on the page. Apart from that - corker!

Well, I have to agree with L-J. This was a Hallmark movie presentation on a very interesting, important topic. I'm not sure I got to know anyone well enough to care, although I could have. It just wasn't written deep enough. Seems like it was written for a 6th grade audience and I expected more. Not horrible, but not all that good.

I'm putting this aside for now because it's frustrating me. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough into it, but the gist of it seems to be "think positively, be persistent, and think deeply about your hobbies and what you love to do." Uh, I wouldn't be turning to this book as my last resort if I hadn't tried all that! But my parents loved this book, and credit it with their move from Georgia to North Carolina - so I will try to finish it one day.

Great quick read! This 2009-2010 Iowa Children's Choice book was delightful. Good choice Iowa!

I really enjoyed reading this book...it discusses (and provides encouraging examples of) the importance of balance in our daily life. Maintaining a healthy balance between my spiritual, personal and career needs is important for creating a happy, challenging and peaceful life for myself. If nothing else, this quick read allowed me to slow down a bit and take an assessment of my own life's balance.

I liked this one a lot better than In the Woods. I still get frustrated with Tana French, but I keep going back for more.

Interesting. Exciting ending. But the characters were a little flat. You only got to know the main character. The rest weren't much more than silhouettes that gave the protagonist someone to talk to.

Some parts were good, some parts were right well terrible. I would have much rather watched the show, than read this sorry excuse for fan-fiction. Still gave it three stars because I love Skins. That is all.

This book got so many good reviews, so when my sister gave me a copy she had read, I thought "why not?" I had never read Joan Didion's work before, and now I doubt I will read any more after this one. I thought the book would be a heartfelt memoir, a story about losing those closest to you. But I just couldn't get past the author's elitist attitudes and her priveleged lifestyle. I felt bad that she experienced such loss in her life, but even though death is something that transcends all classes, races, and nationalities --- I still couldnt relate with her losses.
