I'm a sucker for all things Avengers, this current reboot included. Maria Hill is made Team Leader (small surprise but a welcome one, I've always liked her character). Iron Man, the new Captain America, Thor, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Hawkeye. And one to be added in story...Noh Varr. Read some recent summer crossovers (Siege) if you don't know who he is. The story read like a summer crossover packed into 6 issues but Bendis made it flow. Kang, Ultron, future Hulk, future Iron Man, future super-kids of deceased super heroes...I totally dug it. And a darker ending to this than most Avengers story lines.

I read these books when I was little and I remember loving the pictures. Re-reading this it is diffently for kids but would be a perfect bedtime story book. The chapters are short and sweet and each has a small lesson to learn. Ultra high on the cute factor.

My first venture into the books of Philip K. Dick. I wasn't sure what to give this one. Sometimes I want to give it 4 stars, other times just a 3. It had some pretty confusing parts toward the end, but luckily not for very long. It had some interesting themes about humanity and empathy. Nice quick read too.

A heartbreaking memoir written by the father of a 15 year old girl who has a psychotic breakdown and is committed to a psychiatric facility for the summer. It is honest and points no fingers of blame. Greenberg tries to connect the threads of his daughter's mental illness to that of his brother's. It is fascinating to see how his mother refuses to see any connection at all, and still blames herself for her own son's psychosis.

Meh. I liked the schtick to start with (i.e. books 1 to maybe 8), and did think the books were pretty funny, but I think I'm just a little tired of it. It's not funny any more. These books travel around work, kind of like a cold, and everybody said that they thought that this one was good, breaking the trend, they laughed, they thought it was great. I don't agree. Maybe it's just me. So far, I think it is...Guess I'll pass it on. Maybe someone else will get more joy out of it that I did...

It explores several products and personalities in and out of Google and takes a look on several trends which Google managed to spot and conquer. A good read for showing several unknown competitors of Google and their influence on Google products. Is a tad dry though!

A great guide to giving your kid a classical education, but you've got to be willing to commit a LOT of time to doing it, otherwise it'll feel completely overwhelming. I love the idea, but in our case following it closely wasn't feasible. Even though we're not using it as a curriculum, we still refer back to it often for age-appropriate resources on the classics.
