Originally on From Book to Hooked. The breath-taking love story Maggie Stiefvater started in Shiver continues in Linger. Sam and Grace are back and continuing their fight for love. There are also new characters introduced that add another remarkable tail (yes, I am lame☺) to the Wolves of Mercy Falls series. Grace and Sam's fight to be together continues. For Grace that means more lying to her parents and keeping a dangerous secret from those she cares about. For Sam it means figuring out how to survive into the future. Isabel, who had already lost her brother to the wolves, is suddenly drawn to new werewolf, Cole whose past has the potential to destroy the whole pack. The breathtaking writing in Shiver blew me away, and I was so happy to see Maggie's beautiful prose continued in Linger. Sam and Grace's story becomes even more intense. I swear I might have stopped breathing a few times. Isabel also comes into the story more. She and Cole have a relationship that is completely different from Sam and Grace. It's just... I loved it! You have no idea, probably, unless you read the book, how much I wanted to shake Grace silly in this book. That "dangerous secret" mentioned in the synopsis... Yea. Why would you not TELL ANYONE?!? Seriously, though, I was getting really worried about her. She was getting worse each chapter, but she wouldn't tell Sam. Ah, Sam. We get to see more of Sam's life and his personality in this book. We also get to see more of Isabel, which I was super thrilled about. She's a really interesting character, and I loved her humorous one liners. Cole was yummy. He almost the polar opposite of Sam. I want to see more of him. *nods* As was with Shiver, this book is very romance heavy, but I loved every single minute of reading this book. When I hit the last page, all I wanted was more. Sadly, though, my copy of Forever, the last book in the trilogy, has not yet arrived in the mail. I am eagerly awaiting it because I am hooked!

A great book about the beginnings & creation of Narnia. I was instantly drawn into the story & have utterly enjoyed the adventures of Polly & Digory. I love the parallels & symbolism enfused in the story. My first book from the Chronicles of Narnia & will not be the last. A great prequel to the series.
