A comical look at the Apocalypse, complete with a (misplaced) Antichrist, bumbling Angels and Demons, and a story that is INEFFABLE. I've never read Pratchett before, but anything Neil Gaiman touches is bound to be pure gold.

I loved how the book started out, as a conceptual creature design artist I found the explanation of animal behavior and its similarities to human behavior very intriguing. Animals like humans are creatures of habit and routine and this idea concerning how we perceive zoos and the freedom or well being and mistreatment of animals under such confounds to be inhumane or sometimes torturous was interesting. It doesn't go to say that zoos are neither good nor bad when the well being of an animal is concerned but it explains this objective concept in a rather unique light. It is only after we learn a bit about the life of animals in zoos and the zoo owner's son named Pi, that the real story begins. I would very loosely compare it to the film "Cast Away" though what takes place is such an unreal sequence of events that even the ending leads you questioning what really happened.

I love werewolf stories i love vamp ones too but i dont think i liked them mixed up... I think story could be a good one but its story telling is actually wrong and incomplete at some parts. For example our little werevamp starts to crave blood but whenever he drinks from his mate he escapes the scene without asking his mate what the hell they are and why he wants to drink blood so 1/3 of the story he cant learn what he is... And our little werevamps best friend ohh joyy!!! He nearly pukes on the floor when he learns his best friend is becoming gay cause it s against the gods wishes, but next day he can donate his blood to him without blinking!!! He know his best friend is gay and he knows he is a werevamp or whatever and he think oh ok your father beat you so i must donate a pint for you here you go drink... Absolutely hillarious if you ask me... Story could be much more and characters could be much more unfortunatelly i couldnt power to finish it yet.. I hope i can someday....

Thoroughly enjoyable--I'll have to track down the rest of the series.

I had to force myself to finish this one. He gets pretty socialistic at the end. His writing is beautiful, but the story itself I found lacking.

A typical Nancy Drew ... someone unbelievable, but altogether an enjoyable and easy read.

The first in [J.K. Rowling]'s more verbose entries in the Harry Potter series. (Not that there is anything necessarily wrong with verbosity.) Book 4 is also the turning point, when Harry's world goes from the fun and whimsical one of the previous books to a much darker and more dangerous world. It is also amusing seeing Harry struggle through the general difficulties of adolescence, from the strain in his friendship with Ron to this impossible task of asking a girl out to a dance. I loved every moment of this one!
Disappointed end to a series I very much enjoyed.
