Until You – Em Có Để Ta Hôn Em Không? - Tập 1 Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

Desires of the Dead is yet another compelling teen paranormal meets murder mystery from the mesmerising Kimberly Derting. I completely lost myself in this book and I really didn’t want it to end. I am honestly gutted that I’ll have to wait ages for the next one. At the beginning of Desires of the Dead Violet is still coming to terms with the events that happened at the end of The Body Finder. Both in terms of her identity as a girl who can locate dead bodies and puts them to rest but also in terms of her blossoming relationship with her best friend Jay. Two separate events happen in Violet’s life that set this plot turning. The first is when she takes a day trip with her friend Chelsea and discovers that there is a body in a location where she can’t help it. The second is the arrival of a new family in town. Both trouble Violet in different ways and cause her to withhold her feelings from the people around her. In doing so she begins to take risks but also sets upon marking out her own destiny. In this way Violet is very proactive in this book. She is reflecting more deeply on her ability. It starts to dawn on her that she has a choice about who to trust with her secret. Jay was steadfast and as charming as in the first book. I love the connection between Violet and Jay. Despite the fact that Violet has a gift, their relationship is believable and down to earth. I also love that Kimberly Derting uses a stable family model in this series. Violet’s parents are a source of strength for her but they also give her further internal conflict. In Desires of the Dead Violet begins to realise that her ability puts others at risk. Thus she takes it upon herself to resolve situations alone. An exciting new addition is the character of Rafe. I found him enigmatic and loved the whole silent, intellectual air that he exuded. I foresee that I will be quite a fan of Rafe and I can’t wait to learn more about him. Desires of the Dead is another fantastic book by Kimberly Derting. Gripping, tense and yet heart-warming, this book is an absolute must for paranormal YA and Lisa McMann fans! Just like me...

Yu-Gi-Oh! - Tập 24 Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

Gorgeous British crack - oops, I mean ‘story’. Goodreads: 'Jin, I’ve been drawing that fucking crab for three hours now, and it’s starting to freak me out. I keep looking into its dead staring eyes and thinking it’s trying to talk to me.' Jinx Slater is in the lower sixth of England’s most exclusive school for girls, Stagmount. She and her best friend Liberty live life to then fullest and delight in causing mayhem. When the mysterious new girl Stella Fox arrives, things change dramatically. http://www.thebookseller.com/books/au... http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/l/s... My Review: Just this side of `Desperate Housewives’ crazy when it comes to realism, this book hits the mark. If you’ve been to a girl’s boarding school then everything coming out of this author’s head would seem plausible and certainly familiar. The screw driver to release the window’s safety catch, exeat weekends, terrible school food and pupils with stories more horrifying than most people would initially realise etc. The wonder then, perhaps, is that you’d bother to read on; however Sara Lawrence has written a funny, engaging book, with a strong heroine. ‘Jin’ is observant, intriguing and will make you want to stand up and cheer occasionally, despite the books’ third person narration. It’s all just so very personable. I’ll be checking out the sequel ‘Jinxed’ just as soon as I can (apparently Jinx gets a man in that one). :-)

First reviewed on blog: 15-16 July 2011 I read Johnny Be Good a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love with the book. I loved reading about Meg, Johnny and Christian as their characters progressed. Meg is down-to-earth and fun loving. Johnny is just AMAZING! I mean who wouldn't him to sing to you? Christian I adored he's the sweet kind of guy every girl dreams about he makes you content and comfortable. I fell in love with Johnny myself. . . No joke! I mean he's just Perfect! Okay . . . lets be honest he's far from perfect, but who is right? I can understand where Meg comes from in the book he's irresistible! And Meg falls deeply in love with him . . . but with him sleeping with girl after girl and the alcohol and drugs becoming a problem what is she to do? To top that all of . . . There's Christian the guy who obviously likes her but is she willing to go there? And then there's Johnny's ex PA Paola who when Meg asks of what went wrong . . Johnny clams up and reveals nothing! I cried when the book ended as I simply didn't want it too end. But with the release of the sequel to Johnny Be Good fast approaching I had to read it again. I read in just under 21 hours and loved it all over again . . and yess falling more for Johnny. Though this time when I closed the last page at after 4 in the morning I wasn't upset as I had Baby Be Mine sitting brand new waiting to be read.
