Serious Answers to Rhetorical Questions! By definition, Taggart says, rhetorical questions are all the ones which someone somewhere felt worth answering but have been left without a satisfactory response. I think of them as questions where a response is not needed or expected. Where does time go? Is the Pope Catholic? Were you born in a barn? The answers Taggart provides are not only humorous but very informative. This book was a fun entertaining read. I am a big fan of the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Jim Parsons plays the wonderful Sheldon Cooper. Reading this book it struck me these questions were answered in much the same way as Sheldon would. This book is definitely a perfect escape! 5 stars!! I really loved the premise and all the foundational points, but I found his writing incredibly monotonous and often belittling when he begins giving 'you can do it' points. My husband compares the read to that of a diet & exercise book or infomercial: It's just that easy!! Look what others have to say about it! It totally works! All in all I recommend this book to husbands and wives out there. It definitely equips with good insight as to how the other operates and what they need deep down to the core. It's basic and fundamental yes, but something you can easily miss if you're not *really* paying attention.

I read this out loud to my 8 year old son and it amazed me how much he understood as this book is for tweens and early teens. I thought this was an incredible story of a boy and his best friend on a quest to find the meaning of life. Several times throughout the book, both my son and I cried. The author has a very descriptive yet sensative style of writing; bringing many emotions to the surface. There are a subjects such as, existentialism, astronomy and death, which I felt were described very well and on a level in which most kids could understand. I was shocked that my son understood what existentialism is (the basics)and he followed along. After I read the last page, my son said (with tears in his eyes), "Mom this is the best book ever. I want to keep it forever and reread it and I want to read it to my kids". I have inscribed a message to him and I do hope he keeps this with him to reread as I believe he will pick up different messages as he ages. I am now on a quest to find another book for his birthday that we can read together. Reading to each other is one of our favorite "us" things to do, but now I am faced with finding a book that will be as wonderful as Jeremy Fink. If anybody has any book suggestions....please feel free to comment.

Ive read this book more than once before... I am so inspired by Bethany Hamilton, with her relationship with Christ, the world and even her fitness. Bethany survived a shark attack with the help of God. She was usually never mad at God and she trusted Him. That's something I want so bad! Bethany seems so pure in the eyes of the world and I have to agree. She doesn't date very much (mega plus for me as I'm a teen who doesnt need to date) and she has taken her attack with positiveness. She uses it to tell others about God! Bethany is so i ntune with her body- she exercises a ton and I admire than as I want to excel at a sport like she does at hers. She's so dedicated- it's awesome! This book is soooo great! Bethany writes about her accident, afterwards, and the movie. I LOVE it!
