The book that I have just finished reading is Rectangle of sins by Nurit Folkes. The genre of this book is fiction. The theme of this book is that love is a scarey rollar coaster ridebut if you hold on tight you'll make it all the way to the end. Rectangle of sins is the sequel to the first book Triangle of sins. It picks where Triangle leaves off. Natalia is really upset to have to deal with the death of her husband Shawn and her baby son Jr.. At Jr.'s funeral Shawn comes back! Rectangle deals with Natalia and Shawn's marriage and the rockiness of it, with all the lies, jail, cheating, killing, rage, and heartbreak any rough marriage goes through. As you can tell Natalia and shawn are the main attraction in this book. Natalia is much stronger in this book, she loses herself and her morals and finds herself in a heap of trouble when she meets a guy named Seth and that causes conflicts in her marriage. Shawn on the other hand hasn't changed that much except dealing with his marriage, cheating, and becoming best friends with sill juice better known as alcohol. Rectangle of sins to me was a great book. I literally could not peel my eyes from the pages. This is mainy because its filled with so much juicy information that had me at the edge of my bed with the book. For example when Shawn gets drunk and cheats all i will think is will Natalia find out and it will cause me to be unable to move my eyes from the book. My favorite character would have to be Andy, Natalia's homosexual best friend. Everytime he is in the spotlight on the pages I smile. He is a very funny character. Also I love the way he keeps Natalia sane with her relationship. This book was very descripive and I could see people and scenes clearly because they give a lot of description. And for those intimate moments they explain every little detail. Or ever argument they explain every movement or cuss word. I think this book falls under the world issue of divorce in america. A lot of married couples are divorcing because of lack of communication, no communication, or very bad communication. This effects me because my grandparents got divorced due to their bad comunication. I think that people that are having communication troubles with their spouse should read this book. So definatley I would recommand to the mature readers and adults. If you liked the movie "Baby Boy" you will like Rectangle of sins because it has some of the same characteristics of this movie. For example Jody is much like Shawn and drink and cheats. And jody and Yvette just like Shawn and Natalia have very bad communication issues. All in all I really enjoyed reading Rectangle of sins. Its has prepared me on what the married life could be like if you do not have good communication with your partner. And also it reminded of a lot of issues I see until this day and I am reminded in tv shows and movies.

I hate when there is a good base-story, but the author just drowns it out. In this book, the author was trying too hard to be clever, to not be obvious, but she wound up with boring, not intruiging. I feel like I got all this information about everything, but the main plot. She wrote around it, instead of directly giving it to me, which sometimes works, but this time... not-so-much. I ended up bored and not caring. I had to force myself to finish. I don't even know how to explain the plot... here goes... spoilers probably. Basically Mauricio is the new kid at St. Stephen's, he is a freshmen. He is clueless how this world of money and politics operates. He is middle-class and making average grades. He feels out of place and like a loner. He makes a handful of friends. Some enemies. But, for the most part he is a background man. He becomes infatuated with his friend Henry's sister, Elizabeth, but keeps it to himself. Things start to blow up with the school, when it it discovered that someone has hacked into their computer system. Someone is sending out threating emails from the students' accounts. There is an insane amount of cheating and drug usage discovered. The big "A-ha" moment is pretty obvious at the end of who supplied the money for the hackers. blah. boring. no more time wasted on this. 2 stars.
