My last few James Patterson books have been difficult to complete, but not this one. The Alex Cross series seem to be the only Patterson series with any reading value. This one at least kept you moving and interested. A one day read, but with the reference to Bricktown and Rt.70 and the Turn Mill Pond made it a good one. Any references to Ocean County keep me reading. I wonder if Central Blvd exists or if its really Central Avenue in Lkwd. There was action and changes in the Cross family, and some unsolved plots that suck you in to come back for the next book, which will surely be available for sale at bookstores any minute now.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the small details that were precise and observant without being boring and trite. I loved the flawed characters and the incompleteness of the story. I look forward to reading more from Ms. French.

An easy read, predictable, but fine when you want something brainless to read.

My nemesis as an 11th grader and my friend as a college junior. Hawthorne is one smart mother.
This is a very funny, very wrong, well character-developed series. Heavy on the anti-hero. And definitely not for everyone.

** spoiler alert ** I read The Riley Bloom Series first so from the beginning I knew Ever was not going to go back to her family in the end. I probably would have read the book faster and had more interest in it if I had heard of The Immortals Series first. As soon as I got the book I read the summary and realized what it was mainly about and I was like "oh.....well I already know how this ones going to end." Again, it was completely because I read the two series in the wrong order and not because it was poorly written. The only time I did not like it was when Ever was trying to decide between trusting Roman or Romy. I thought it was obvious to choose Romy but Ever was weird and just did not ever want to trust Romy or Rayne. I thought it was stupid how Ever did not even believe Romy when she told Ever that Riley had told Romy and Rayne to watch Ever. That is so likely, I do not get how Ever did not believe her after that. Other than that, I thought it was an over-all good book.

I haven't seen the movie, but the book is written so well. Great story for kids, fun for adults!

This is the sort of book that is really good while you are reading it, and it an incredibly enjoyable read, but the ending just sucks! It is about a girl, Eleanora, who is a prodigy. She has always been really smart, and at 8 years old can read legit books and knows a ton of languages. Her dad goes on a business trip, and she goes with him. Her dad dies in a boat accident, and she is left to stay in the house of their host. She goes through a phase where she doesn't talk to anyone, and she gets lessons from this guy. This book was really good, but then it just ended, with nothing resolved and no questions answered. It was a good read though, just a horrible ending!

I read this book when I was a senior in high school, and fell in love. I had never read anything more beautiful, or powerful in my life. It is filled with strong women, wonderful prose, and vivid descriptions. It is a must read.
Have read #;s 1,2 but reading # 3, really liked them and help me understand history in a fictional setting

A beautiful book with a believable image of an environmentally ravaged future.
