The Peanut Buttor Tweatment By: M. Allman ISBN: 978055796874 Published July 28, 2011 by BurtonHead Books Format: Paperback My Rating: ★★★★★ Have you ever had bubble gum stuck in your hair? Did your mom use vegetable oil or, even worse, scissors to remove it? Can you imagine if your entire body was covered in hair and you popped a big ‘ol bubble gum bubble on your face? The Peanut Buttor Tweatment tells the tale of mischievous little Bub who loves his grammy’s homemade bubble gum and finds himself in quite a sticky situation. Peanut Butter to the rescue! I have really been on a children’s book kick recently. It is so fun to share all these neat, new books with my children and see their love for reading grow! The Peanut Buttor Tweatment is a super cute little read that teaches kids all about following directions and facing consequences. The Harringtons, the characters of the story, are adorable little fuzz balls with big personalities. Mom is kind yet firm. Grammy is exactly what you want your grandmother to be, and she brings awesome gifts when she comes for a visit! Bub is fun and a little naughty. A family isn’t quite complete without the adorable, sometimes annoying, baby sister. The story is easy and fun for a young child to read, but not too babyish for older children. My kids and I really enjoyed the colorful illustrations on each page. I definitely recommend this book for any age, but especially children in the 6–8 year range.

The book about balloons and Krakatoa. As fun as I remembered, though too short!

We listened to this on the road trip to VT and loved it! Very entertaining. Seemed much fresher and just less silly than the Percy Jackson books, although this is a spin-off and Percy and his friends are mentioned/featured slightly in the book. The main characters are new though.

Nope. This ain't for me. I'm done after 75 pages
There is a lot of criticism aimed at Chomsky. However, being a linguist, who better to write a book that exams the actions and policies which contradict the rhetoric used by the US government in its foreign policy since the end of WW2. Essentially the US promotes democracy, free trade, peace in the middle east and human rights, yet its foreign policy, votes in the UN, actions on the international stage grossly counter the rhetoric.

Series keeps getting worse. The authors couldn't even string together enough of a mystery to fill the whole plot, so they had to run three independent and unrelated cases to just fill pages. It takes the murder-by-number writing style to a whole new level.
برای یکبار خوندن، کتاب خیلی خوبیه

this book was recommended to me by a friend of mine in college. it's the autobiography of the controversial/offensive/hilarious comic john callahan, from adoption to addiction to disability. it not only looks at his disability as it relates to society as a whole, but it also points out day to day challenges that not many "able bodied" people would think about. it's pretty raw, but i appreciated his honesty and the cartoons (though not for the faint of heart) are pretty damn funny.
