This was my favorite book I have ever read. This was not just your typical football book about a team going to the championship and winning. This book was about an individual that overcame all odds and became a very sought after player in the NFL. When you read this book Lewis paints a vivid picture of how Micheal Oher (the main character) grew up and the struggles he was faced with and how he overcame all of these struggles to become the man he is today. This book is very well written and it was the only book that I have ever read that I could not wait for my next encounter with.

An incredibly brave memoir of the late Caroline Knapp's twenty year battle with alcoholism. Boldly written and unflinchingly honest, the book is an inspiration for anyone who suffers from a substance or alcohol problem, or any other form of addictive behaviour.

I know it's not a religious book, but the story sort of reminded me of the return of Christ... how us humans are only thinking of the worldly things and concerns, when there is only Christ and His return to worry about. I actually really liked this book.

I wrote one of my college application essays about this book. Though, I can't for the life of me remember what my point was. Profound, I was not. This book, however, is wonderful. I will always pair it with The Wide Sargasso Sea -- Jean Rhys' take on the madwoman in the attic's side of the story. But that's just icing -- this book is stand alone.

captures my attention, but the overarching subjugation of women in saudi society makes my so angry i can't read it all at once. i have to take it in small doses, in between other books. couple of things that are bothersome so far tho: 1) it's repetitious (descriptions of clothing for example) 2) clinging to her religion, through every-other-page protestations that a saudi conservative movement twists islam into this warped version of itself. if you liked this, (or maybe even more so, if you didn't) check out INFIDEL by Ayann Hirsi Ali.
I think this book was really intresting, it really caught my attention. It makes me think that love could be difficult at times. In My point of view ive always thought love wasnt real, but when i finished watching and reading this book i learned alot about it. Others think its preety boring, because its just like every other love story. This book has more to it though, it relates to different situations, and thats what makes me like this book a whole alot more!

The next book in the BlackDagger Brotherhood tells the story of Vishous, and his love for the human doctor Jane Witcomb. Since you may have read my reviews of the other books in this series, it should not come as a suprise that I thoroughly enjoyed this book as well. I liked how in-depth the author went into V's character, and how strong Jane's character was. I liked the little plot twist, as well. As V is a sadist, the "x rated" scenes were more racy, and edgy, than I was used to; but I thought they provided more understanding into V, and why he is the way he is. As with the other books, I liked the inclusion of characters from her other books, and how she introduced new characters. I definately look forward to reading the remaining two books in this series. As for recommending this book, I would definately recommend it; but caution readers who are faint of heart or easily shocked.
