This is a marvelously fun space opera.

Loved this book. It provides in depth narratives about difficult situations that some our greatest Presidents faced. Loved the Lincoln story and reading how Harry Truman came to recognize Israel as a country. I will note that I skipped over Andrew Jackson. Not a fan of his since I'm solidly on the Henry Clay side of history.

Okay, a friend of mine told me to savor it. But I couldn't...I had to read it like a mad woman! ;-) Lover Avenged is another great book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It was great to see more of some of the Brothers in this book and get to know Rehv and Ehlena. These books are not works of art. They are written almost in an email/blog way...not the format, but the language style. OMG and other text type abbreviations/acronyms are used throughout. But it really works and fits with the Brothers and their style. The characters and storyline are what keep you going. And Ward continues to create Vamps who are hot and likeable, bad guys who you want beaten and an adventurous plot that you anticipate happily as it unfolds. If you are looking for a series that you LOL during :-) and have an emotional connection, these are a good series to read. Pick up Dark Lover and fall "in love" with the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Such a relatable childhood character. My favorite scene is when Annie lays out pennies and hides so she can see the surprised looks on people's faces when they discover hidden pennies. Another great story from this book is when Annie's mother just "rolls away" when she's hanging out with her friends on the beach. Priceless.

This book is freaking hilarious, as well as anthropologically informative. Basically this guy and his wife move to the Pacific Islands and experience culture shock. There were some nights that I had to cover my mouth to keep from laughing and waking Josh. I haven't quite finished it yet, but hope to soon. Thanks Samantha Morton for the recommendation.
