My God, how can you make time travel boring?! That's the only remarkable thing I have noticed about the book so far. Kurt Vonnegut would have been horrified. And rightly.

Strong male characters who bond in the face on one man's grief. Stereotyped relationships with the local madams and with the Hispanic underlings, but beautifully drawn prose of local landscapes. I love Hemmingway's style of writing.
To date the most terrifying book and movie I have ever read or seen.

The Treasure Map of Boys is a quirky and hilarious look at High School student Ruby Oliver's daily trials and tribulations, which includes boys, old and new friends, a bake sale, therapy, and a great dane named Polka-dot. I've always been a fan of this series, so I was super excited to get a copy of this before it was released. Ruby is one of the funniest characters I've ever encountered, and I love reading everything she has to say. However, this wasn't my favorite book in the series. Ruby, overall, seemed indecisive and even at some points annoying. Gladly, though, there was a lot more in this book that I liked than disliked. As always, the cliffnotes add a unique twist to the story. Plus, I loved reading more about Ruby's friendships with both Hutch and Meghan. And I hope to see more of that in the future if the books continue. E. Lockhart again weaves undeniable comedy with heartfelt emotion in the third book in the popular Ruby Oliver series. I would recommend this to anyone who has read the previous two books in the series, and to everyone else I recommend the first book (The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart)

I got introduced to this last year and it is such a great way to look at spirituality in your life and actions. It is inspiring. It's not just for Muslims, this is looking at life and spirituality and practicality for everyone.

This book is very, very different from Sarah Waters' other novels, at least to me. Tipping the Velvet and Fingersmith are also set in the Victorian era and play on tropes of Victorian literature and Victorian conventions of gender and sexuality, there's no doubt, but somehow this book is more Victorian than the other two. The focus on the female community of letters and on female writing, the fact that the plot hinges on Victorian expectations for women and charitable works, the fascination with mysticism and psychic power that's treated exactly right...all of these things add up to make this novel more engaged with the period than the other two Victorian novels. Or perhaps I only think that because this novel is engaged with high-class themes and the other two engage with low-class themes. This is my least favourite of Sarah Waters' novels, which is to say, I love it a whole lot, but it breaks my heart. Absolutely wonderful read, but I like the other ones even better.

Definitely a book everyone wants to read at least once in their lifetime. Some parts are a little cliche and predictable, but it was all extremely well written. The ending had my mind reeling and, while I was a little disappointed with it, I believe only Libba Bray could pull it off.

I've read two of these. Buried Child was weird and dark almost for the sake of being weird and dark, but I still liked it. True West was weird and dark and AMAZING. Also, you may remember Sam Shepard from such films as Black Hawk Down or The Right Stuff.

I read about 20-25 of these books. I read them in fifth and sixth grade. I strongly remember wanting to read these because they seemed cool and my older sister read a few of them. I remember that our library had a little display of them and I also bought a lot of them through the book catalogs we got at school. I remember most strongly the set up of the books; each book started explaining the club and describing each of the members. I also strongly remember the covers.
