I just reread this book because I am going to see the play this week. I needed a little refresher on the plot. I can't wait to see the puppets!

I can't say enough about this book so I will be brief instead. I will cherish this book for the rest of my life and re-read it many times.
Delicately beautiful. When I read it for the first time, I thought it was boring and I spent more than 3 weeks to read this book. Then in the middle it started to be totally awesome. Helen Dunmore's vision of Ingo is totally clear. I can feel Sapphire's feeling when she comes to Ingo for the first time, also when she lost her dad. Three thumbs up!
Weightier than Atwood's contribution to the series, Winerson's thoughtful and captivating retelling was only thrown off by her random personal asides.

Definitely felt incomplete. I realize it's part if a series, but this should have been the first half of a bigger book. I do admire the world that was created and might read another, not right away.

Probably one of the most incredible books I have ever read. I shamefully, know very little about WWII. This account of one man's journey from Olympean Athlete to P.O.W. is both gut wrenching and heart-warming. It is not for the weak of heart, I think I gasped and grimaced more during this book than any other. I laughed and I cried. But it's a story that I'm glad was told. Laura Hillenbrand (author of Seabuscuit) did an amazing job and cites acknowledgements to literally hundreds of sources who provided her with stories and research during her writing. This is non-fiction that is too unbelievable to be true. It grabs you in the preface and never lets you go. It reads like a novel. Please run to the computer, store or library to get yourself a copy of this amazing book. You won't be sorry you did.

I loved these books and actually thought the ending was ok. I highly recommend this book.
Another good Michael Talbot read - see my review of The Holographic Universe
