Read it in college...kind of creepy and little depressing. Definitely challenging read.

Zuckerman is an awesome character. he is sarcastic and cynical and hates most of humanity, except of course, women. continuing his Zuckerman epic, Roth paints a portrait of the artist in his midthirties dealing with humongous success and the downfalls it can bring to a man who prefers anonymity. pretty much a hilarious look at celebrity and shallow trendy bastards

One of my favorite books in high school and college. Salinger portrays isolation and one's struggle to individuate with starking reality. I love this story. Franey and Zooey is a good follow-up.

The Awakening is probably my favorite book/short story ever. I've read it a million times. The detail and depth to this story is outstanding. Chopin's other stories are pretty good, too.

Book on tape. I was captivated from start to finish. Another winner by Ken Follett!

** spoiler alert ** This may be the shortest book of the entire series but it's the best one. It had surprises in every part of the book and that's what made it a good book. Sure you could perdict a few thing like Luke coming on stage to talk about third children but I didn't guess he'd go on a horse to get on the stage. Although it was annoying that he kept thinking of Jen but it got him to do what is right. This really is a great book so anyone who is bored right now should get excited when they read this book.
Great old classic.

According to Netflix, 3 stars = I liked it. It's definitely not going to be on my Kindle permanently, I'll file it away on my computer and probably won't look at it again, but it was a nice read for a rainy day (which today actually is). There was WAY too much time and writing invested in the sex scenes and WAY too little time invested in developing the avian shapeshifter backstory. I still don't really understand the avian shapeshifter culture that well, which is really unfortunate because it seemed to have so much potential. Not to mention there are really only two well-developed characters in the novel--development which occurs between the ubiquitous and lengthy sex scenes. I also can't call to mind what Raynard looks like, since he was essentially described as an "older man" and "large" the entire time. The "older man" really got overused. Okay! I get it! He's older than Ori, aren't there other descriptors out there to use as well? For those who like the m/m genre, I'd recommend this as a nice story to read. It won't be a favorite, but it's worth the time.

This is probably the best of the Kit books to me! Plus I got to watch the movie about Kit and loved it!
