I picked up this book randomly at the library because it seemed like it might be useful in my goal of having a freaking clue about how things work in houses, since I am about to be a homeowner. It worked. Interesting material, fairly broad scope combined with sections where there is way more detail than is reasonable (which I love). Totally a quick read.

This really is young YA reading. Not teen, solidly pre-teen. I enjoyed the premise and the characters and the well solved mystery. I am on board for at least another one or two of these. They are light on the side, not too serious, just have fun reading.

Now that pesky werewolf is back, but this time when she touches Michael, terror is the last thing she feels. The lust, the magic, and the men... what more could a girl want? Well there is the little matter of Raina possibly losing her soul ... Ms. Kitts manages to once again keep me on my reading toes with this laugh-out-loud and sexy story. The dialogue is witty and the characters unique. While a few of the scenes changed a bit abruptly, which disrupted some of the story flow, the racier moments between the witch and her wizard and werewolf more than made up for that. My favorite character came in the form of a very sensible if sarcastic, cursed wizard living with Raina as her snake familiar. Percy and Raina have an 'old married couple' kind of relationship and Percy's moment of triumph in the story is awesome. Fans of paranormal romance will definitely embrace this new story by Ms. Kitts.

I asked my roommate in college what existentialism was and she gave me this. (then after I had to look it up in the dictionary). Although I dont' remember the story too well, just that I emphathized with the narrator, and I still vividly recall the beautiful image of him laying down in his jail cell and watching the sky change through a small ceiling skylight.

I read this book very slowly, reading just several pages before bed every night. I enjoyed it a lot reading it this way. It has interesting tidbits about history, particularly food history, and of course about salt. I think if I had read more of it at a time I may have liked it less, because its transitions are somewhat choppy.

A great book, brillianty written. Although I did find Heathcliff's hatred and sustained anger a bit hard to comprehend, I still enjoyed the plots as it twisted and turned around a few disfunctional generations.
