So so so so funny! These mysteries have you laughing out loud through the whole series! Wonderful characters and engrossing story line will have you looking for the next book asap. Family problems mixed with P.I. work makes for some good times. The author has a unique set up for this book that adds to the overall charm of the story. Definately pick these up! P.S. I don't think it will read well on an E-Reader... there are footnotes and an "Index" that really make the book what it is so you may prefer to pick up the good old fashion library book.

I've read a lot about the Civil War history in my county. Most of it centers around the Battle of Ball's Bluff but there was a lot more to it than that. I enjoyed reading about the politics of Loudoun back then; northern part of the county for Union, southern part for secession. Not a bad book.

I’ve just finished reading Gabriel’s Return by Steve Umstead and found it a great continuation of the Evan Gabriel series. Steve Umstead’s first book, Gabriel’s Redemption, showed me the skill and great storytelling abilities of the author. Gabriel’s Return is no exception. The story of Evan Gabriel’s return to military action starts a bit slow but the author paints a wonderful descriptive picture of life on Mars and builds to a mission made for Gabriel and his team. Political elements on Earth plot and put into action steps to gain and control power on free governing planets. Mars is one but the planet Eden is the first step in these power brokers plan. Eden at first seems to be the perfect world for its inhabitance but a closer look shows it to be a dangerous place to live. Plants and animals there find humans to be just another step in the food chain. Students from Mars are on Eden to study these creatures but become hostages and used in an attempt to take control of Mars. Evan Gabriel and his team are called in to put a stop to this power play and are sent to Eden to recover the hostages and bring the planet back under control. Evan was the only survivor on a previous mission to Eden and the loss of the men and women of his old team still haunts him as he tries to take control of the situation. Gabriel’s Return is a great Sci-Fi to read and I highly recommend it. Steve Umstead is a master of showing the reader a world that we might see in the future. You won’t regret reading this series of books. I can’t wait for the conclusion of the Evan Gabriel series, Gabriel’s Revenge.

This book is about a boy that can traval in time with out using a time mashine, insted the uses baseball cards. He has a power that inables him to just a card of a player he desires to meet. In this book he takes his friend, well not really his friend untill the end of the book "Bobby," back in time to meet his great grandfather, "Jim Thorpe." The problom is that to traval back in time stosh needs a card from when Jim played. My favorite part of this book is when Stosh and Bobby go back in time for the second time and get to remeet Jim when he was still in baseball. They see him in the locker room fighting with another player. After the fight he ends up aruguing with the manager and quiting. I think this was a very good book.
