Oh My Gawd! This is by far my favourite novel by Sarah Dessen. The Truth About Forever and Lock & Key come a close second third. The thing with many of Dessen's novels is that even though people find that they are romance novels, and yes while that aspect is very much present, her stories are about transformation and basically life. Her books hold these fabulous life lessons that actually leaving you pondering and reflecting on your life. Her characters are by far the most fantastic in this novel. I loved Auden's vulnerability and at the same time confusion and strength. I loved her as a character. Dessen, has this way with her characters. She makes them so real that you have no choice but to get reeled in head first and fall in love with them all. So far, i've read five of her novels and i've been dumbfounded by all of them. When i read her books, i pay close attention to every single detail. I reread each paragraph and let the feeling literally sink in. The settings and the atmosphere that she creates is pure perfection. No other way to put it. They are all real places but somehow she gives them a new life, making them seem completely different from what they might actually appear to be. Like some people see a place under a fluorescent light, but she turns on the neon lights and sees it under that. It had always been incredibly hard for me to find her books here, and i had got to the point where i could only fantasize about ever reading her books and kill anybody who said they had never heard of her. But i have to say the wait was worth it. Now that her books become available a year or so after their release, i don't feel angry or sad. Deep down i know the journey i go on every time i read her books and i also know that they leave me wanting more. When i reached the final chapter and i could tell that the book was coming to an end, i knew i didn't want it to end. Never. Now i look forward to What Happened to Goodbye and see what Dessen has created there. This book is my favourite Dessen book so far and i hope all of you grab a copy and see for yourself why. It's the perfect summer read, even though i clearly got to in the winters. Oops!

I enjoyed "Tracker", but it was only okay. This book lacked action, but I could relate to the main character. I also enjoyed it because it was about hunting which is one of my favorite hobbies. The main character John Borne is and ordinary kid who lives on a farm with his grandparents. He lives with his grandparents because his parents died in a plane crash. He was living a happy life until the doctor told there family that John's grandpa had cancer and it couldn't be treated. After the bad news John's grandpa went back to his farm to live the remainder of his life. John was taking it very hard about his grandpa, but he realized that if he doesn't look at his grandpa he will not realize that he is dying. John had to go deer hunting by himself this year. He wasn't worried about not getting a deer he was just sad that his grandpa was not going with him. While deer hunting John saw tracks right of way and began to track this deer. Shortly he jumped the deer and finally saw that it was a doe. He did not get a shot so he continued on. The next time he saw it he had the perfect opportunity to shoot it, but he couldn't. He did not know why, but he continued to follow the deer tracks. It was startingto get dark and he realized that if he touched the deer with his hands that he would have cheated death and that his grandpa would not die. John followed this deer until it was so warn out that the deer could not even stand up anymore. John reached out then touched the deer. He then passed out. He woke up the next day with the deer gone and a long walk home. On his way home after some thinking he realized that he did not cheat death and that his grandpa is going to die and that's just the way of life.
