It is such a strange feeling reading about real events (the Holocaust in the case) and feeling sad, but sad in the way when I read a fictional story and something bad happens to the characters. I know this is real. This type of thing actually happened to real people, but I don't feel the pain I feel when I think about people I know who are suffering. I wish I did. I don't know how to get that connection.

This was a great book and an easy read. It's another perspective on the GNR saga from the point of view of the originals. Although the world may never know what the truth about this legendary band really is, this was Steven's version of the truth. Most of it seems pretty fair and consistent with what we've heard so far.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE BOOKS!!! In my opinion this was the best of the three so far. I loved how Meghan grew into and independent character. Fell in love with Ash all over again, as he changed from the sullen ice prince to the new caring emotional character... however, there's still, and always will be a space in my heart for Puck! And once again Julie Kagawa has left me pining to find out what happens next! Whether she'll break my heart or my wishes for the end of this story will come true I don't know... but man I hope we get a happy ending! I AM LITERALLY DYING HERE!!! How could you leave me hanging that way! PLEASE hurry and release The Iron Knight... the story can't possibly be left at that! I really hope Ash's story is a continuation of where we left off, and not just the story we already know from his point of veiw... I don't think I could live with THAT ending being the ultimate THE END, noone is that creul! But I guess I'll just have to wait until November!

I found this to be a really nice novel about relationships between women in an east coast suburb, but the subplot about a boy seeking his father should have been a much shorter part of the book. The editor should have streamlined it. Otherwise, really enjoyed it. I skimmed quickly through the dull parts of the boy and his friends and his endless thoughts about his life. Sympathized with him, but that part was not written well. The rest of the book was great.

The basic concept for this book, a house that is slightly larger on the inside than the outside, is just brilliant. However, the execution can be difficult to muddle through at times. The book unravels as the story unfolds, losing cohesiveness and a level of clarity that makes getting through it a bit of a challenge, but the story itself is worth the work, if only once.

An amazing account of the fall of the Ottoman Empire during World War I and the subsequent carving up of the Arabian Peninsula into what we now refer to as the Middle East. This book is extremely informative and yet reads like a novel, giving a unique insight into how the Allied Powers and Central Powers viewed the region during the conflict, how the notion of Zionism was born and politized during this period, and the role of Winston Churchill, then Britain's Secretary of State. I highly recommend this book for anyone that wants a better understanding of the foundations on which the current Middle East conflicts were built upon.
