I recommend men read this too! It gives a clear concise picture of what is going on in our women, in your life! Dr. John Lee~ So, you want to try natural hormones. Great! But before you take pills, rub on cream, or apply patches, it’s important to know the basics of what you’re doing and why. Hormones bring important messages to every cell of your body, with potent results. The hormone imbalances that led you to this book in the first place can be corrected—or made worse—depending on your treatment plan. The three basic questions you’ll need answered before you can be on your way to hormone balance are: 1. Are my symptoms caused by a hormone imbalance? 2. Which hormones do I need to regain hormone balance? 3. How do I use the hormones for optimal health and balance? Throughout this book you’ll be given the guidelines you need to answer these questions.

The Body Finder is about a girl who finds dead bodies, she can hear them and smell them and is drawn to them. Also, if someone killed something, it leaves an imprint on them that matches so she can smell killers as well. I thought it was awesome and well described how the bodies call to her and she can't just ignore them if it is too powerful. The love story aspect was sweet to a point - after awhile I was feeling, "Ok, I get it, you are in love, stop all the smoochies and get to the problem at hand." The ending was well done, but a bit anti-climatic for me. I didn't like the "There's blood EVERYWHERE and screaming and chaos!" and the chapter ends. Then the next page "Two months later...." ?????? You can tell me what happened...really...I can take it...I feel like we missed out on a lot of emotion that was going on from all of the characters. Fun read! Great premise for a series!!! I'll give the sequels a looksie!
Thoroughly enjoyed these Jane Marple shorts. By the time the third or fourth story gets told, the ending becomes predictable but no less entertaining. What I love most about this book is how Agatha Christie portrays Jane Marple as an observer of human behaviour which makes it possible for her to deduce the solutions to these mysteries. She was not made to be this brilliant world savy detective with vast knowledge of crime and police work, she's just someone who is observant and level headed with enough intelligence to piece things together. I enjoyed how she was so easily dismissed early on, only to earn the respect of everyone at the table by story's end. I've read several of Christie's Hercule Poirot mystery but I'm beginning to think I may like Jane Marple more and I look forward to reading more of her stories.

While many people found this novel hokey or hallmark-y, I found it very interesting and touching. It tells the story of Eddie's life, afterlife, and the lessons he had to learn to move forward with his afterlife. It makes you wonder about your life, who you have touched, what lessons you have let to learn. I really enjoyed reading it. It makes you realize that no matter what you think, you do matter to other people whether you know it or not.
Not as "amazing" as I'd hoped it would be, and I was not enamored of the main character or Hemingway. The story plodded along for me, and frankly by the end I just wanted to smack both of them: him for being a real prick, her for being so incredibly weak she just took what he dished out, right to the end, sometimes in unbelievable ways.

This simple yet beautiful historical fiction picture book takes the reader on a journey to early nineteenth-century New England. It is spring time. The main character, the ox-cart man, prepares to leave for Portsmouth Market. The family helps him to load his cart. Everything that the family made or produced during the previous season is packed for sale. The family needs money to buy tools and seeds for the new season. At the market, the man sells all his goods including the cart and the ox. He wisely spends the earned money to buy provisions and tools and walks back home. Year by year the cycle repeats. The author of this book, Donald Hall, uses a very straightforward story line to describe simplicity of life and the repeating cycle of life. The book also tells the story of patience and endurance of those who lived on the 19th century New England farm. The book is nicely illustrated by Barbara Cooney whose pictures complement the story. The book provides an alternative lesson of history that is well suited for grades K-3 and an opportunity to learn new vocabulary for ELL students.
