2-25-2011 Why does the picture only show the girl's feet? where are they going? Is that book only about girl? Why do they want to join that club? Do they have any problem around themselves?? What are they going to do in this club? I think i will learn what it would be like if i join this club and i think i will learn how to fix the problem which is about love.

This is a great example of mediocre crime fiction. The happy “Hollywood” ending is sooo predictable. There are no surprises here, and nothing is done well enough to make you sit up and take notice. The good Chicago contractor leaving his checkered past behind has a problem: the psycho ex-partner who went down for the last job they pulled – blames our protagonist. When our man can’t be lured back into a partnership in crime, the psycho takes all the appropriate measures: namely threatening his new life – attacking the man’s boss and new wife. Wow. Where was the original idea in this one? Oh, that’s right. The title. The title itself is the best thing going here.

I have no idea how to rate this book. After 322 pages I have no idea what it was about. Things happened. The narrator had thoughts about other random things. There was the part where she dressed up like a giant bird and ran in front of a tractor. On purpose, to scare the mice. And then more things happened. Some of them were tragic. None of them were funny (despite what you might glean from the blurbs on the back cover). I am utterly nonplussed.

Maybe three and a half stars if there was such a rating, but am definitely glad I read it. This is a fun series. Easy, quick read. Nothing really new, but the characters are addicting and fun. I'm ready for the next one!
