The book was good, I enjoyed it. I am holding off on a better rating than that only becuase I did think it was boring in the beginning, there were so many new characters, so many people to remember and keep track of. But in the middle it picks up, when Lisbeth was able to use her computer. That's when things really got going for me. I liked Lisbeth's doctor in the hospital. There was something special about him. He knew Salandar was "different", he knew there was more to her and he didnt give up on her. I liked that. I really enjoyed the end, when "The Section" got their due. I continue to admire Salandar's character. She was a victim....yet became strong, she didnt play the role of victim her whole life and crumble, which could have been so easy to do.

Per this book, if there is some kind of mental disorder, I seem to have it. It was highly scientific, which isn't my style. It was recommended to me by someone who said it helped her, so it might be good for someone else, though!

still need to read this!
I read this to my little cousin about a year ago, when she was getting into reading. It was a perfect little story with charcters she could easily keep track of. I'd recommened this to anyone looking for a book to put the kids (or yourself :D) to bed with. Find more reviews at: http://ambilit.wordpress.com/

Toni Morrison is one of the most talented writers on the planet. I was drawn in to this book in such a way as to feel the emotions and passions around characters with whom I had nothing in common. I can't say enough about this book.
I read this when I was younger and I remember a few of the stories making an impression on me. I recently bought a used copy to check it out again and it's been fun revisiting the material. The one that always stood out to me the most was the one written in screenplay form, which was an interesting choice and the first time I was exposed to that format of writing.

This book was nothing like what I was expecting. Honestly, the title and cover brought to mind the more erotic books of Gena Showalter and Sherilyn Kenyon. But the reality of the story was more like "A Discovery of Witches", or maybe more appropriately, "A Discovery of Incubi". Caleigh MacFay is a new professor at a small college in upstate NY. When she arrives in Fairwick for the job interview she immediately feels at home. She even falls in love with a house that is believed to be haunted. The house, "Honeysuckle House" was the home of a famous Barbara Cartland-like author. Cayleigh buys the house when she accepts the job at the college. Once in the house, Cayleigh starts being haunted by dreams of a shadowy "man" from her childhood. Cayleigh discovers, in her search for answers, that nothing and no one is as they seem. I really enjoyed the whole story...the story behind the college and the town was well thought out...any time an author comes up with a new mythology, it makes me appreciate their creativity all the more. My one complaint was that I didn't feel as though I really got to know Cayleigh though. I knew she lost her parents and that she'd been raised by her rather stuffy grandmother. But, beyond that, we didn't really get to know her. I felt like I knew all the supporting characters better...and it was a great cast of supporting characters. I would like to say that I would love to see a series about the town of Fairwick, maybe with a book highlighting each of the supporting characters...I would love to read more about all of them.
This is one of the best books on northern New Mexico!

I read this book after the scandal of "Million Little Pieces" being untrue, and I still loved it, James Frey really is a good writer.

Yeah, I read them. How could I not with all the women in my life always prattling on about them. The surprise was that I didn't actually find the story to be completely offensive. I even enjoyed it a little. I liked Meyer's new twist on vampire/werewolf mythology. Half way through the first book I swore to kill myself with a bathroom plunger and corn meal if she mentioned Edward's chisled chin again. Good thing it is hard to kill yourself with the a fore mentioned items or I'd be dead many times over.
