I admired her principles, especially the idea of using materials and plants that are native to your area or have have meaning for you, rather than trying to import an exotic look, but her examples and applications tended toward large public spaces or equally large estates. It started out by talking about "when you design your home..." If we all had the money to design our own homes or spend thousands of dollars re-doing landscaping, I'm sure it would all be much more authentic and beautiful. There was not nearly as much about working with what you have on a [much] smaller scale. I liked it better when I stopped reading and just looked at the pictures.

So...John Porter at Glasgow Uni told our class that Wittgenstein used to open a notebook and write across both sides, rather than down and across as is normal. But I have yet to see this confirmed in print anywhere or to speak to ANYONE who has ever heard this, and it is really started to bother me. Also, this book is great.

I love almost every story that Susan Mallery has written, but I also found the additional story, Hers For the Weekend by Tanya Michaels to be interesting as well and rather cute.
I'll just say Christians wondering where the Holy Spirit is in our churches and our lives really could do to read this.

I'm a huge fan of John Green, and this is one of the best of his I've ever read. It deals with much heavier issues than many of his other books, it seems; and it deals with them with power and sensitivity. Looking for Alaska is also a lot more "literary" than his other books...many of the main themes and ideas were connected in powerful ways. Overall, the best John Green I've read so far. (Warning: There was a bit more teen sex in it than was necessary, but it wasn't so much that I was too distracted.)

This was a cute, fun read. Janey Wilcox is frustrating, mildly endearing and fascinating. I would be interested in reading a sequel to this, it was perfect 'bus-reading' - light, refreshing and indulgent.

I struggled with this book for a while, which is really unusual because I love Rachel Caine. I stuck with it and really loved it. I will read the rest of the series in due course. I would definitely recommend this series.

dad read "little house in the big woods" to me when i was 6 or so, and i plowed through the rest of them on my own over the next couple of years. "on the banks of plum creek" was my favorite - nellie getting her due from a bunch of leeches is hard to top - but i read them all repeatedly. this was the beginning of my undying love for historical fiction.

I liked the intertwining of the two stories.

Very interesting book covering life in a leper colony for a little girl take away from her family. Just changed this to 5 stars as I'm still thinking about this book.
Jodidamente espectacular. El mejor libro de texto que he usado.
