This is about a man that died from cancer and has a lot of fun living his life because he knows these are his last few months. He writes a book while riding his bike trying to stay in shape. He talks to his friend on a cell phone. He taught about what he learned in life. It was a good book for me to listen to. (I read it as a CD)

Aussie Book challenge 2011 #9 Okay! I definitely hate myself since I really had no intention of reading this book (insert gasp here). I don't favor contemporary much, but being that a lot of my friends have read and raved about this and it being an Aussie book (nuff said) I decided to just give it a shot, and boy was I thrilled and surprised how much I truly loved this. I absolutely fell in love with every single one of these characters! Ed and Lucy, Leo and Jazz and even Dylan and Daisy. Each are extremely well written, complex and a total blast to read. But my favorite characters would have to go out to Ed and Leo. I love there tight 'you go I go' friendship and how they have each others backs and how they each have unique gifts that they share in common ways. How freaken cute are Ed and Lucy? I loved how he ended up being the guy Lucy went out with a couple years back. I loved that they got their second chance, even if they didn't know it at the time. I adore how Ed feels so much and love the way he expresses it. Lucy is just to adorable for words. She's sweet and feisty and feels just as much as Ed, but doesn't hold back. Also, you got to love a protag that can break a boys nose. You just do. Ed and Lucy's night searching for Shadow was like reading in 3D. I could vividly picture ever wall and every feeling that went into that piece. I simply adore how each one is explained by a memory or conversation. It really gave me a wonderful connection with who Ed really was and how Lucy saw each impression. Same goes for Leo's words and I love the reason behind why he needed the money and the fact that he's a bit scared of his Gran. Respect;) As for the writing? It really is it's own brilliant piece of art. I've read Cath Crowley A Little Wanting Song and I had to admit I was shocked that this was the same author. I liked that book just fine, but this book is a masterpiece. From the moment I read the very first line, I was totally invested in these characters. I loved loved the humor, the flirtatious banter and easy fit wit. I love that there are intense moments but it didn't overwhelm me, just made me want to read this as fast as I could and savor it at the same time. All in all, I absolutely adored this book, in fact, it's going down as one of the best reads in 2011 and an instant favorite. I can't wait till this book hits the shelves! I am not an artist in any shape or form. I can't draw, I can't play music, sing or dance and I am no writer. But...I am a huge art lover. Graffiti Moon is art my friends, in the best, surprising way possible! Smart, infectious and completely absorbing. Everyone needs to read this Outstanding gem! It has been a while since I have read a book from start to finish in a couple of days, but I did it with this book. I wouldn't say that this book was one of my all-time favourites, however the storyline held me right until the end, and I every time I closed it to do something else, I kept asking myself what was going to happen next. The idea of humans and dæmons (pronounced demons) is intriguing, especially as the dæmon can change animal-form when the human is still a child, but after puberty stays in one form thus reflecting the essence of its counter-part human. The interweaving of characters is very well done, especially the twist that happens at the end. I loved the connections and bonds that were made, and how they progressed throughout the story. I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights, and the imagery of 'the North' portrayed in the book is very beautifully written. Though, I would say, this is more a fantasy story written for a 'younger' audience, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to how this trilogy pans out, and genuinely can't wait to answer the question I have been left with at the end of this book .. 'What is Dust?'

Eloquently written. For anyone who wants to understand alcoholism. What it is like to live with it and the power it has over the lives of those who live with it.

One of my favorites! It doesn't have any profound philosophical message, or mind-bending quirks and plot twists, but it's easily one of the scarier and suspenseful of his horror novels. It's especially good for being one of his earlier novels.

I felt at times I was in my own horse's head looking out at me, I just lost my 27 year old horse and this so makes me think of her. She loved my grandbabies and the pasture seems dull and empty without her beside the two horses left. I want to see the movie now I've read the story as its mostly from the horse's own view of things. Very interesting reading and I did it in one sitting. One of the better horse stories I've read in a while!

This series is one of my favorites. I'm glad I stuck with it because it was questionable at first. It's full of pre vamp students, vamps, love quads, friends, evil and good. If you like books that you can't put down and keeps you on the edge, then you will definately like this series.

Good stories, but I would have preferred them if they weren't poems. But that's just cuz I don't like poetry.
