A fun, and easy read. I wanted to read a cute romantic story, and this fit the bill quite nicely. A good pick-me-up book.

This is a great book to read if you are involved in BSF. It's a very inspiring account of how the ministry started and the life of Wetherell Johnson.

I don't care much for graphic novels, but this was such a touching story.

If there's one contemporary 'mainstream' Muslim author worth reading, it's probably Tariq Ramadan. While not without its problems, I agreed with a lot of what's said in this book. Ramadan's analysis of existing tendencies in Muslim life in the West, though not entirely novel, is extremely perceptive. And he has a talent for writing, which we can hope will lead to more developed works in the future. The sections in this book that I liked best were the one in which he offers a classification of contemporary Islamic thought into six trends, and the one in which he elaborates the place of Islam in epistemology (related to that is the critique of pseudoscientific Muslim apologists of the Quran-and-Science business).

This installment is laugh out loud funny. Jaz Parks is possessed (can you believe it?) and not only that but she has other personalities inside her head (herself as a teen, her grandmother and her sister, Evie) and they all have conversations with each other and Jaz. It really was just too funny. To make it even crazier Jaz has arrived in Australia with a vampire (Vayl), a psychic (Cassandra), a techie (Bergman), a dog (Jack) and a robokittie. Yup the fun is just beginning. Oh wait we can't forget the gnomes. And I don't mean those cute statues you put in your yard. These are killer Nazi gnomes intent on taking out the NASA station in Canberra for interfering with Saturn which some how is screwing with their God (go figure). All in all, this book is a laugh a minute and I loved every minute of it.

This book was required reading when I was a freshman in high school. I have to say, I am glad I read it. I am usually reluctant to read required books, but this one had a likability that I'd never seen before in a required book. The idea of telling a complex story from the point of view of a child interested me, as it still does. I found each character to have a realism and personality that can be uncommon at times. What most people discuss when they read it, is the court case. They see it as the major event that shapes the story. I couldn't disagree more. I found the everyday life of the characters to be far more interesting. It made me care more when good or bad things happened. If any of this sounds interesting to you, or even if it doesn't, I encourage you to give "To Kill a Mockingbird" a read. You won't regret it. On a side note, the book has been reprinted with stunning new hardcover and paperback artwork. I haven't picked it up yet, but I find myself considering it. Perhaps to give it another read, or even just for the cover art.
Such a sad story about a nine year old boy who doesnt understand what is happening right in front of him. :(

I Spy books are always fun. In my classroom I would use this to help kids understand rhyming, locate shapes and colors and to have fun spying all the different objects. There are so many elements within this book that any classroom would benefit. You could also take this book and write about holidays or games they see within it.
