This is my second favorite book of all-time. I've read it so many times that the characters are like old friends I need to touch base with every now and then. If you've seen the movie and haven't read the book, I highly recommend you read it immediately. I love certain scenes from the movie, and I do like to picture Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable when I read the book, but other than that, the book is just SO AMAZING in comparison to the movie.

Dude, I know it's kind of a foregone conclusion that they live Happily Ever After, but the book sure as heck did end rather abruptly! She triggers some hidden bombs and then, while you're still reeling from the shock, the book ends! Despite this however, I loved it. Another great book in the Argeneau series. Christian and Carolyn did not disappoint at all. Will definitely be looking forward to the next one coming in August. :)

The Mockingjay was good but not as good as the first two books in the Hunger Games series. The Good: The plot and action was excellent. The Bad: The main character spent most of the book in delusional rage which made the plot take some strange twists. I would give the book an R for violence. Details of tortures and killing of adults and children were a bit too graphic for my liking. The ending was emotional but not happy. I did not feel satisfied when I closed the book upon completion. It left too many details open-ended. A fourth book showing the beginnings of a resurgence of humanity would be a nice conclusion.

A good addition to the series Sookie finds a "love token" given to her grandmother by Fintan; with the help of Amelia, she has broken the blood bond between her and Eric; Bubba is back, and as usual, there are plenty of bodies to be buried -- or, sent through the portal, which ever is easier! Only two installments left...that makes me sad.

Grave Expectations is a new paranormal retelling of Great Expectations. I love these recent adaptations of the classics. Sherri Browning Erwin takes the old characters Pip, now a were wolf, and Estelle turned slayer, Erwin turns our classics upside down. I love the snark inherit in Erwin's book. Both Jane Slayer and now Grave Expectations had been fabulous reads for me. There is this great lot of dark description in the novel and it give the scenery of the book a whole new feel. One minute we are rooting for Pip, and another sympathizing with Estelle. If you like your classics in a whole new light, then Grave Expectations will really surprise. I enjoyed reading this one immensely and have fun comparing the passages between this adaptation and the original.

Just started listening and am glad to be back where the dialog is so easy and natural. That Mr. King sure knows how to create conversation. Am on Disc 2 of 20. John Hurt is the narrator. He has an ease of reading, breaking up the rhythm of a sentence in a way that makes it more powerful. Then the CD player in my car broke a third of the way thru the book. *angry*

Bu kitabı bitirmek biraz zamanımı aldı. Ama sadece kişisel şeyler yüzünden. Ve bugün okumak için oturduğumda, yarısına kadar, sadece bitirmek zorunda kaldım. Beni duygusal bir yolculuğa çıkardı. Karakterleri daha çok sevmemi sağladı. Heyecan vericiydi, şaşırtıcıydı, yürek bozucuydu, tatlıydı, korkutucuydu, EPIC'ti! Bu son kitabı çok sevdim. Son bölümleri çok sevdim. Gerçekten her şeyi sevdim. Şuan söylemeliyim ki, bu seriler rafımdaki Açlık Oyunlarına eşit ve bu kitapları ne kadar çok sevdiğimi bilerek çok şey söylüyor. Ehmm, bekle. Hatta The Chaos Walkings serisinin The Hunger Games kitaplarında benim favorim olabileceğini düşünüyorum, çünkü bu kitaplar gerçekten gerçekten iyi değil, aynı zamanda ÖZEL (de THG btw). Onlar eşsiz. Birçok yönden. Tipik YA kitapları gibi hissetmiyorlar. Bu kitaplar başka bir seviyede! Ve sadece onları seviyorum. Onları SEVİYORUM. <3
