** spoiler alert ** I love this book. I didn't know much about the circus life, so it was a little eye opener for me. I do love how the main character returned to his first love, the circus, in the end.

I enjoyed the book but it was written so similar to the cartoon movie that I had a hard time separating them. I actually caught myself singing songs that went with the scene I was reading from the movie.

Extremely disappointing; a book that wants to be clever, and which only became famous, I think, because a journalist thought that it "spoke for a generation". Bleh. Characters who live boring and pointless lives, in a boring and pointless book.
This book is absolutely amazing and a must-read for everyone. I want to read the one geared for singles next. It explains so readily how two people can love each other but fail to communicate that love in a way that the other understands, but then gives concrete solutions to build up love in relationships. It also differentiates "love" the verb from the "In-love" state in a way that makes sense. After reading this I can both understand why so many marriages have failed, but also can see how perhaps with greater understanding we can help more marriages to succeed.

Funny and Sarcastic :)
This book is simple without skipping any information: it covers everything in a very cursory manner. It does not explain the same things over and over; rather, it identifies a formula for each style of question and then applies it to the entire section of the test. It covers Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. After an introduction that explains the test, test conditions and format, about 15 pages are devoted to each type of question, explaining how to approach it and how to solve it. Then entire rest of the book is practice tests. The amazing part of the practice tests is that they describe how to solve every single question, and they devote at least a sentence to every possible answer. That way, if you thought the answer was C, but it is A, the book will (1) explain why C is incorrect, and (2) explain why A is correct. I would definitely recommend it as an amazing practice tool.

I liked the story, and he's obviously a good writer. Yet, even by the end of the book, I still found his style annoying, like he was trying too hard.
Maybe I was just expecting too much of this, but I was really underwhelmed. I appreciate that it's the first of its kind, and without "Watchmen" there would be no "Sandman" or "Fables", but neither the story nor the characters really grabbed me.

I was a little disappointed in the latter part of the book, but overall a good read.
