I loved how developed the characters were & how each one was given space for their particular story to develop. It was hard to read sometimes. It was like being a witness to a family falling apart. I enjoyed the ending.

When I read The Name of the Wind in 2011, it became an instant favorite. I quite enjoyed this book. I always enjoy Nora Roberts books. While all of her books include romance, this had more to it. Honest Illusions is about a family of magician/jewel thieves. What's not to like about that premise? It was a fun read and kept me entertained while I was bedridden with a terrible cold. I hardly remembered I was confined to my apartment.

Why does everyone love this book? It would make a good short story. Not enough geeky Robinson Crusoe castaway-craft for me, literary intent enough to smother you. Or make you drink seawater.

well written book. about a hyper intelligent boy who is trained to save the world from an incoming invasion. engrossing. finished it in 3 days. a sci fi classic. Card wrote two series stemming from this book. avoid the one following Ender as it gets more soporific with each ensuing book. the series following Bean is much more interesting and true to the tone of this book.
