This is great for teens, particularly ones interested in the vampire or goth movements. Lucy is a teenage diabetic that doesn't manage her condition well. She has a theory that diabetes was mistaken for vampirism in the middle ages, and she begins engaging in dangerous behavior.

one of the best food novels available, although it only concentrates on middle-class, white, northern cuisine from the 18th century to the present.
A reread, but like new because I could remember barely anything! Only a couple of the major plot twists even rung a bell. Which was awesome. Not often that you get to read an awesome book twice for the first time. Maybe I can manage a third time in another decade or so when all seven books are finally out. :) Now moving on to truly uncharted territory. Even though I said I wouldn't read any more until the series is finished, I'm going to go ahead and read the three remaining released books. What with the hype surrounding the TV show and the books, I'm sick of avoiding spoilers!

Hated this book! I didn't like the writing or story, and I was a bit offended at the theology.

I love the Stone Barrington Books and although I thought it was a good book and quick read, it didn't seem to have as much excitement as some of the earlier books.

A little bit about the house and zoo. Hi Tschai, Yes this book is a very easy read. It does a bit of religious and spiritual belief and explorations. I might enjoy it. :)

A popcorn read for the highly literate, with lots of clever wordplay but somewhat less comedy than I had hoped for. As the title suggests, it would be highly helpful if you have already read Jane Eyre, especially since a large amount of the plot revolves around alternate versions of the book's ending. This might come as a rather nasty spoilerish surprise if you have not (and I am grateful to Emmie for providing a warning to that effect). Fforde gets extra points in my book for being one of only two authors that I have ever come across to make a literary allusion to Alfred Bester.

suspenseful, imaginative, and clever. I loved it!
