At first I thought this book would be a good GHOST story and it turned out to be an ALIEN story. This book was so messed up. I liked it till the very end and then its like what the hell was the point of this whole thing. It was poorly written and that just added to the irritation not to mention how many times this damn book said okay. It held my attention cause I kept thinking this has to get better it just has to it didn't and in the end all the events just become jumbled words that left nothing but an air of "WHY DID I READ THIS DAMN BOOK"!

Was a good book to read the year I sang in the chorus of "Oklahoma" in community theater. It seemed to put me more into the world of "on stage".

Best writing I have seen in a Biography. Covers minute details without losing your attention, and should appeal to a wide audience. Emotional without being too sappy. The little prince would be proud.

Ahh, sequelitis... Not nearly as good as Creepers. The scavenger hunt aspects were interesting, but the split narrative took away from the story I think. I really am not a fan of the lets tell a little of this story, and then skip back to telling the other story style. The ending was extremely lame, although the climax was pretty cool. The Sepulchre of Worldly Desires was just plain creepy. The narrator of the book on cd wasn't very good, so that may have effected my feelings and rating. Probably would have been better had I read the book instead of listened to it.

I am suprised to say that there just wasn't enough ultraviolent zombie mayhem. I have to read the real book now so that I can know what liberties were taken to add the zombies. It was funny, and probably would be more enjoyable had I already read Pride and Prejudice.

This history of Americans who, after the Revolutionary War, went to Paris to study medicine and art mostly, is just excellent. He overs the entire 19th century of American travel to Paris, paints compelling portraits of the Americans who went there, and gives us an idea of what it meant to be a newly-minted American visiting the capital of culture and medicine.
I didn't much care for Bunch's writing style. I also had some issues with the plot and it's clicheness at times. The pirate's life was definitely glorified and Gareth seemed to have too many modern sensibilities in a world based off of medieval times. It was a fast read, though. The ending was not satisfying at all since the Linyati slavers were still around and on the brink of war with Gareth's people, and there is no sequel out as of yet, planned as near as I can tell.
