I received this book as a thoughtful gift from my best friend and Maid of Honor during my wedding planning process, and it is truly gorgeous. The photos are really beautiful and provide ideas for decor. The sections/chapters are organized according to venue, so chances are you will only reference one or two parts of the book based on which type of venue your own wedding will be in, but it's a great book to see what can be done according to each type of ceremony/reception location. I would recommend this book to brides who are looking for some visual references and inspiration.
This was the first book I won! This was a fun, easy read. I love how Charlie would ask her friends to analyze her phone messages and emails from her men. I can remember doing the same thing with and for my friends. Yes we were pretty pathetic! Overall a nice "lite" read.

This tale was one of Beatrix Potter's favourites, but not one of mine. It is a classic tale of confusion and swapped items, but the ending is a bit weird.

This book mesmorized me. The story about a man and a woman who he meets briefly, wants to have an affair with, then dies while he is in the other room, and the aftermath was complex and even years after I read it, I am still confounded.

This writing team just keeps getting better and better. Reminds me of Patricia Cornwell's early years.

I picked this up at the library to read to my children during our unit on the civil war. I had heard the name Dred Scott and I knew it had to do with a legal issue, but that was about all I knew. I thought this small book was well written, consice, and very easy for children to understand. Sometimes legal issues are very complicated and hard to explain to children. Shelia Moses did a good job making the story interesting as well as understandable. Although a children's historical fiction, I liked the brevity and emotionally stirring writing. I would recommend it to anyone with a beginners knowledge of the Civil War, wanting to know more of how it may have effected the lives of those involved.

This is an account of a Holocaust camp from the point of view of a polish communist. It's essentially the same thing as "Night", except the first person dialogue isn't from a Jew's point of view. I recommend this to anyone who thinks the Holocaust media forms they've witnessed haven't been shocking enough.
LOVED it! My favorite chapter was on the grocer's apostrophe and the chapter on the semicolon was also great. It is truly an art form to use the semicolon nowadays.
Sarah's story was of course tragic and moving, but Julia's story really loses steam and becomes painfully predictable by the end of the book. I would have been much more interested in following Sarah's story or even getting more from Zoe's point of view.
