Wow! Great, as all the books in this series have been. The series seems to be written for a bit more of an adult group of readers. I like to read many of the young adult books, but this was the best vampire, witch, pixie, were, banshee, demons, fairy, and, oh yes, humans book series I've ever read. It was nice not to have teenagers as the main characters for a change. Racheal can't go two seconds without being in some type of trouble, same as usual. After all the books in the series, she's STILL in trouble; and you know, even at the end of the book, that it's not going to stop. This is one of the things that keep this series moving. The well- developed personalitity of each character is so finely tuned that you can imagine yourself right there talking with them and know how they would react. But, you never know who is the "bad" guy and who is the "good" guy. You aren't meant to. One of the points brought out in Ms. Harrison's books is that nobody is totally bad or always good. (Well, maybe except for Ku'sox, but even he had reasons for his insanity). Now, for the next book, Ms. Harrison...I want to know any little demons Rachael may have (or will they be part something else? hmmmm). I want to know why her brother doesn't seem to have any "talents" that Racheal or his mother has. They had the same dad. Oh, and Racheal just can't keep going from guy to guy to guy, some time, some where she's got to find "the one" (either a character already introduced or a brand new one. I like Ivy's new relationship and hope that keeps growing. We also need a flame for Jenks (or did he already meet her towards the end of the book...hint, hint.) I have an idea...maybe Rachael should be nanny to Trenton's little girl and Ceri's new one (NOT) :-) Don't you dare even think of ending the series Ms. Harrison!!! Thanks for such wonderful escape into a totally different world. Oh, one more thing...please keep Ivy and Racheal strong in their close relationship. It breaks my heart to see anything change it.

Cuốn Theo Chiều Gió (Trọn Bộ 2 Tập) - Hộp Gỗ Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

The first chapter of this book titled "Love Story" had me in tears within pages. Not just a few tears trickling down the cheeks, but a deep sobbing cry for the wife that this author lost. The author tells the story of the circumstances of her death and I felt as if I was right in the room with him experiencing the same grief. The first chapter of this book is perhaps the best part as the author has the talent to truly bring the reader into the story. This chapter could easily stand on its own as a short story and a very strong and powerful one at that. The next chapters to me were at times confusing as I didn't know who some of the characters were except by "name" and I didn't feel as strong as a connection to them as I would have liked as a reader. I felt like I was being "told" what had happened rather than being a part of the story and feeling immersed in the story. The author does tell the story as if he is talking to his wife who has passed on- which is a good writing choice and it works for this book overall- but as a reader I sometimes felt like I couldn't make my own conclusions about what happened. I was simply being told this is how the story goes and how the characters are. The chapter titled "Promise" displayed the authors talent to once again bring a reader into the true action and drama and I feel like this was another very strong chapter like the first in the book. I wish that the entire book felt like this as it was such a vivid and strong chapter. The author absolutely is blessed with a literary talent in being able to take a situation and place a reader right in the emotions and physical reality of what happened. I only wish this was displayed in the entire book and not in just a few select chapters. After the chapter "Promise" I then felt like the book went back to me as a reader being "told" what happened versus being truly immersed into the tale. So disappointing because I craved the emotions of wanting to be next to the author again and feeling as if I was "living" his pains and joys with him. I do have questions that feel as if they were unanswered, and perhaps that was done to protect the relationships or reputation of the authors family. I want to know where Ari was for all those years. I want to know what Eliana told Ari about him being removed from the only dad he knew and how the relationship between Ari and his adopted father (the author) is now. I want to know what happened to Eliana and her children. Do they know Dr Kohein now? On page 15 in the begining of the book, Dr Kohein says he is writing this letter to his wife to tell her he has decided to remarry. Who is his bride? What is their story together as a couple? Why was she mentioned if we as readers do not get the chance to meet and love her? I love that the author shared his faith throughout the book. I did enjoy the use of scriptures and it made me want to write more of God's word on my own heart so that in my own personal trials I can be comforted with immediate scriptures and promises from our God.
