I kind of hated this book for about 75 pages near the end. The last 20 saved it a bit for me...but I can't get over my mixed feelings. I was engaged for the whole read, enjoyed most of it but felt it was just so negative and horrible for a while that I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Oh well.

This was an enjoyable escape from reality, and at the same time too many of the people and behaviors were all too possibly real. The footnotes were wonderful and almost a story in themselves. But I'd like to add my own footnote to the authors: "Seems to me," to use the words of Adam the Antichrist, that those maggots were gross and unnecessary and over-the-top, Neil & Terry!
