For those who can't be bothered to read a long winded review i will say that Darkest Mercy is a good ending to this enchanting series. i know that Aislinn and Keenan are the central characters but my interest throughout the entire series was with Niall and Irial. their characters were never bland or repetitive, Marr reveals a new layer everytime they appear and Niall fans be prepared for a incredulous read... when he is around. Keenan redeems himself, Aislinn is a fighter, Donia is patient to say the least and Seth gets the short end of the stick when it comes to the fight. a few more injuries or even deaths would have been welcomed because sometimes at the end of a series leaving people kicking and screaming is a good thing. i praise Marr for a series that i will read more than a few times over and hope to find another series worthy of being places next to Wicked Lovely on my bookshelf. if you have yet to read this series i definitely reccomend it and for those who have started, there is no stopping until you reach the end. And for those of you who are lucky enough to get your hands on Stopping time and Old Habits trust me Irial and Niall fans do not miss out, they are great little tasters of what happens between the novels. Marr is an incredible writer and pulled me into her faerie world from the first book, Wicked Lovely. At first i was annoyed with the change of character focus between books but after a few chapters into Ink Exchange i had no doubt that Marr knew exactly what she was doing. i think if i had to put up with Aislinn and Keenan through five novels i would have given up by number three. Fragile enternity allowed the characters to develop further and i was greatful for this insight. This was probably my least favourite book in the series, not to say it wasn't a great read but i find Sorcha's character annoying and by radiant shadows i did not care for her at all, Ani on the other hand was clever and quirky and not seeing her in Darkest Mercy left me a little annoyed, without a doubt my favourite scene was (view spoiler) however seeing Seths desperation and loyalty was a nice addition to his already favourable character. i have to say that this ending although satisfying, was a little too complacent. i know that Aislinn and Keenan are the central characters in this series but i have to admit they were the least of my concerns. i absolutely fell in love with the character of Niall from early on in the series and his dramatic chapters in Darkest Mercy were amazing (*Dramatic sigh*), (view spoiler) however besides the pending war and Niall's issues i really had no concern for Aislinn and the others, which i find to be a little sad. Don't get me wrong, i still loved this book and having read it within two days shows just how addicted i was, i found myself trying to rush through the parts that didn't have anything to do with Niall or have an action scene but there is no doubt that i will be reading through these books over and over again.

Can a bird fall in love with a fish? Maybe in the real world no, but in the Fantasy World of Rookery Cove it has happened. But like in the real world, love is sometime trouble and Airk, the birdman, and Baen, the fishman, are drawn apart and now the comunication between them is impossible. They need an impartial figure and Gavin is sent to investigate a pollution problem, but from the first time he meets the two strange beings, he also choose the role of peacekeeper between the two. Airk is strong and reserved, Baen open and reckless. They are at the opposite polar, air and water and need a piece of land to meet. And this land arrive with Gavin, who was chimically sedate to better accept the strange world of Rookery Cove. And in fact, his reaction to the discovery of this strange men is very pacate and soon he adapts himself to this new reality. A rather short story, embedded in a more complex series: maybe to better understand this world it would be better to read also the other books. Nevertheless the story is funny and enjoyble. http://elisa-rolle.livejournal.com/10...

Some like it and some don't. I think it takes an understanding of sisterhood to really appreciate this book. It was definitely one that I had a hard time putting down!

There was just too much missing at the end of this one for me. If there are going to be more books in this world to answer all if the questions that were left unanswered, then it was a great start. The characters were likable and I enjoyed the overall feel of the book. For a novella it was surprisingly in-depth. I just wish I wasn't left with so many loose ends.
