The book itself would probably be a 4.5, but I'm giving it a 5 because the audiobook's narrator totally killed it. His voices perfectly captured every character without going over the top. When millionaire Sam Westing is murdered, 16 potential heirs are given the task of following clues to discover the killer. The winner will inherit 200 million dollars. The Westing Game is a twisty turny mystery that holds up pretty well despite its age. There are a few cringey dated moments (mention of a retarded mongoloid, for example) but this would probably still work well for those who want a middle school mystery.

Overall, entertaining. But the writing and plot are over-the-top and heavy handed at times. Also, it is s obvious to the reader whodunit that you start to think Jade might be an idiot for not figuring things out sooner. But, I will read the rest of the series, so what does that say about me? I am a sucker for an "exceptional female" story set between the wars...

I liked the first two books, but this one was BOOORRRRRIIIINNNGGG :D I just didnt really get it. It confused me I thought if Jude came in it would be better. It wasn't And Ever seemed to whine and worry a LOT, I mean If stuff worry's and annoy's you then keep it to yourself dont twist it to your liking and then mess up everything in the end. Romy and Rayne parts were random. They seemed to turn in major characters the minor TOOO CONFUSING and Ava running away ....LOL WUT???? WORST THING NO ACTION OR VIOLENCE! :O If Riley was actually a demon instead of this wierd mojo ghost thingy then that wouldn't surpirse me BEECAAUUUSEEEE ITTTSSSS SOOOO RRRAANNNDOOOMMMM I'm the type of person who reads these books for the reason THAT THEY ARE PARANORMAL and not just lovie lovie BAKE COOKIES! This book was summed up in four words. VERY BAD AMERICAN SITCOM ...only joking (joking in the slighest -_-) MINDLESS MOANS BY GIRL <===== yes thats my opinion ITSSS RAAANNNDDOOMMM :o hence 3 stars, the plot made no sense and characters ARE ALL BORING...now.

The last half of the book sent chills through my body. The words and description of the events in the character keep your hands and eyes on the book. Even when I wanted to put the book down because of the chills, I couldn't. The beginning of the book starts with a chilling beginning which captures its reading. On a side note.. I found out that this author went to high school with my Mother.
