Back in high school I wasn't a big reader. One morning before classes began a friend of mine showed me this book and I glanced over the first few pages. When the bell rang to go to class I asked if I could borrow it. Through the rest of the day every free second my face was glued to the pages of this book. I got off of the bus and continued to read until the book was finished. ONE DAY, I read this book in one day. Let's just say it's a really well written book. I became so concerned for the main character that...I couldn't leave his side. This book made me think about what might be going on outside of my own community and appreciate my life for what it is. READ THIS BOOK...it won't take you long.

Wow, wow wow! I think this may just be the best book of 2011! I cannot even express my love for Shatter Me properly. Tahereh Mafi has such a gift for story telling. Her writing style is so rich and detailed. It was a pleasure to read. I don't always take notice of writing style. Most of the time the writing does not jump out at me unless it is really badly written or very unique. Shatter Me is the exception. It is impossible to miss the beautiful writing of Tahereh Mafi. Shatter Me grabs you right from the start and once it takes hold of you it does not let go. It's gripping, intense, fantastic and everything else a great book should be. It is a must read book for anyone. I want a clone of Adam for myself please. I mean he was pretty much perfect, and I can't wait to see what is in store for him in the next book. I have a feeling there is much more that we have not learned about him yet. And Adam and Juliette together just makes me swoon. I loved the combination of awesome powers, kick butt action and an even more awesome romance. It was the best romance I have read in a YA paranormal in a long time. I love the mystery that surrounds Juliette's powers and I can't wait to find out more about them! She is such a complex and well developed character and I think the girl on the cover depicts her perfectly! Shatter Me is an example of YA done right. Everything fits together and all parts of the story complement each other. The result is an all encompassing reading experience. The writing is superb, the characters three dimensional and the story is magical. Read Shatter Me ASAP! Such an amazing book. One of my favorites for sure!
