This Dalgliesh is even more densely packed than the previous ones, and all the more intriguing because of it. James sends Dalgliesh—and us—to a remote part of northern England to the windmill(!) he inherited from his aunt and to, no surprise, local murders that he unwillingly assists in investigating. The nuclear power plant makes the scene considerably dicier.

This is an inspiring fable. I think it holds a message for almost anyone at some point in their life. Definitely struck a chord with me at 25.

This book is historically accurate and chock full of cultural and historical information. Not only that, the book present a wonderfully paced plot, wonderful characters, several spectacular surprises, and a heart-warming ending that even the hardiest testosterone lover would get misty at. Also, I just reread the book, and I loved even more the second time around. Really, if you haven't read this book yet, do.
This was a wonderful vacation of a book. I was able to predict a few of the plot points, but in a comforting way. I found myself wishing I knew some of these characters in real life, especially the leading man. :-P. The story is heartwarming without getting too heartwrenching in the middle. It really came to life for me. I'd highly recommend it to any romanctics!

The second book of the Eve Duncan/Joe Quinn/Bonnie trilogy, we are finally seeing some of Joe's history when he first met Eve and how he felt. I'm looking forward to reading "Bonnie" and the conclusion (?) of this storyline. I think Iris Johansen has developed Eve and Joe and the secondary characters in their lives enough that the mysteries surrounding Bonnie can be solved and yet there can still be more Eve Duncan books.

I was late jumping on the "Harry Potter" Train. I probably would not have read them yet except some friends got me a copy in Spanish, and I forced myself to read the Spanish version first, only going to the English when I didn't know a word. About halfway through I was hooked: I leaped ahead in English, but I did finish the Spanish version, and read the next 4 or 5 in spanish as well. :)
Couldn't put it down. Will at least read two other books before I start the next one in this series.
Great book! Can't wait for the next one!

This was the most entertaining of Evanovich's books. I laughed from the beginning.
