Piccolo libricino che descrive il carattere degli alberi dei boschi di Erto, e le particolarità del loro legno, spesso facendo un divertente parallelo con il carattere delle persone. Un libro interessante (ho scoperto ad esempio che mi devo procurare una libreria di cirmolo, legno inattaccabile dai tarli e che preserva dal tempo la carta dei libri) e scritto con un evidente amore per questi alberi. Devo ammettere di non essere rimasta molto coinvolta dallo stile di scrittura, anche se il tema degli alberi e la loro storia mi hanno sempre affascinato.

This epic poem book was a real challenge to read. The book was written on old English and it took me a while to figure out the hard words. While reading this book I had to push my reading skills beyond the limit. If you wanted to understand what the author wants to say you have to read carefully between the lines.

For the Francophiles out there, this was a cute book. The author, Ollivier, is an American who married a Frenchman and lived in France for 10 years. It is almost like a sociology text where the author examines how French women live. This book presents all those qualities of the ideal French woman we wish to be possess: their sense of style, self-confidence, how they socialize, how they eat whatever they want and still remain fit, etc. A list of foods that should always be in her refrigerator ready for entertaining, clothes that should always be in her wardrobe, books she should read are also included. Ollivier also offers the reader a list of French films for the purpose of studying the Frenchwoman in her surroundings. There were some great recipes too. So if you want to discover your inner Frenchgirl, this book is for you.

I really like this series. It deals with wolves and not vampires which is wghat most teen books have been focusing on for the past few years. They are short, quick and fun reads. It will make you want to finish the series and get the next book as soon as you can.
