Perfect beach read - I am flying through this series - not literary fiction but fun summer books. I like how the characters from old books keep turning up - I really like Alcide and wish she would get together with him.

Just so much fun! A nice break from the heavy historial novels and depressing World War 2 fiction. Don't expect mind-altering writing. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Great characters and twists. Can't wait to pick up the next one.

Roger Zelany at the top of his game. The writing is sharp and lyrical. Descriptions are lean and punchy, but poetic and filled with telling details. Lord of Light's plot features an untouchable hero (Sam), newly back from the dead, attempting to fight the gods of his world. He recreates Buddhism to fight a Hindu pantheon, conscripts demons to wage war for him, and eventually emerges victorious from the wreckage of spaceships and chariots. Oh, and an army of Christian zombies.

I liked this book because of the stories. I really enjoy reading stories about peoples' lives. I think that Theresa Brown did a nice job of TELLING the stories, but I also think she tried a little too hard at times to be full of poetic prose. Maybe that really did add to the book-I don't know. I DO know, that I really did appreciate this book, and I appreciated the way she brought herself into it, along with the patients she encountered while writing it.

How to Fly with Broken Wings Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

i gave it 4 stars for the back story on Julia, who is a most intriguing character and partly because I loved the first book so much. Quentin really has become a bit of a bore in this book, and I think Julia saved the book. Janet and Eliot were present, but barely there. However, I remain hopeful for what's next and hope the series continues.

Another really excellent, dignified fantasy series. But other than the big 4 (Martin, Hobb, Flewelling and de Lint), I haven't found more great authors. Well, yeah, Tolkien, but come on. The movies are so much better--(kiss my -ss, Tolkien die-hards, I don't have time for the listing of every familly name of every Hobbit in the Shire)
