This was the first of the Tony Bourdain books I read. Love him.

I have limited space in which to garden but can't resist putting trowel to soil each spring. Changing my perception of a vegetable garden from giant plots with long rows to small patchwork beds had allowed me to do so much more in the space that I have!
I don't disagree with the other reviews that found this second book in the series a bit disappointing compared with The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. Sometimes series books are self-contained (they have the same characters, but the plots are bounded by the book itself) and sometimes they have a through plot that links them all. This is one of the first type, and so beyond the mystery itself and the always delightful Flavia (a chemistry enthusiast with great interest in poisons) there's not much in the way of development (character or otherwise).

A fun read, especially for those who know how to purl! Just didn't anticipate the ending...
Another amazing Dan's books! Put those 4P's to your people and let the process comes naturally. Must-have read books for managers and employees who want to make a big change in their contemplating of doing business. Combining people, process, partners and performance altogether then the result equals to success.

One of the great modern of age narratives, Winterson's story of growing up in a conservative religious household in England and coming to terms with her lesbian identity is touching, painful, and intimately told. A classic of modern queer literature.

I wish I had liked this more, but it took more than a year to finish and I found it very dense and obscure.

I had to read this book just to be able to bring closure to the story. Again, Frey's writing style made this book easy to read and made me want to know more.
Angel Eyes by Shannon Dittemore is actually pretty different from the typical YA angel novel out there. For one thing, it has a strong religious undertone throughout the novel, which may not appeal to everybody. However, it doesn’t come off as preachy; instead, it nicely ties questions about faith in God and free will into the plot. That said, the latter half of the book did feel a little heavy with the religious aspect. Another way that Angel Eyes differs is that it doesn’t succumb to common themes. For example, I was fully expecting Brielle to either be an angel or fall for one - and was pleasantly surprised to find that didn’t turn out to be the case.
