It took me a little while to get used to the style of writing in Brave New World, but once I was in the right head space it was difficult to put down. A fascinating read, highly recommended. You'll be reflecting on it long after you've finished reading.

I bought this book for my Mother one Christmas who was a huge fan of country music. I picked it up at my Mom's home after she had finished it. It laid around my house for a year. Didn't have anything to read one day, picked it up thinking this is just not my subject. I could not put it down, couldn't stop reading it and loved every single word on every page. Not only is this a great read, it's a true story and Gretchen Wilson now has great respect from me. She may be a "red neck woman" but boy has she worked very hard within very difficult life's circumstances and just came out on top. If she came out with another book I'd be standing in line to buy it on the first day of release. If you like reading about people's lives you'll love this one even if you aren't a country music fan.

My reference a.k.a. textbook. The title I have is CCNA Guide to Cisco Networking. Perhaps the one sold in Malaysia is different than the one in US.

In the lat year I have read many books with Vampires and Fantasy so I decided to read this one. In my opinion it had a great story line and it did surprise me a little to. okay - in honest truth, it took a little while for the book to find it's feet and for me to get intrigued into the story but after that I was hooked. bascially the plot is that for 500 hundred years Lenah has been a vampire queen to her covan but her lover sacrafices everything and makes her human again - so that she can live and find love. but then her covan track her down because they want their queen back... Read it to find out the rest!

Fun look at life for a girl growing up in the counterculture of the 1970s on the (pre-gentrification)Upper West Side of Manhattan. Funny in many parts, including the wedding ("poufy white dress") gown shopping, which I can relate to as it brings up all sorts of questions about who I am and what I want in life.

Excellent Story...read it in one day. From back cover: "Melanie Starks and her seventeen-year-old son, Charlie, have been running one con job or another for as long as she can remember. Worried about Charlie, though, Melanie is ready to start over. Then her brother, Jared, reappears in her life. Released on a technicality, Jared Barnett is just out of prison and feeling more invincible than ever. He has the perfect plan to rob a local Nebraska bank, but he needs Melanie's and Charlie's help. Feeling that she owes the brother who saved her from an unspeakably violent childhood, Melanie agrees to Jared's plan. But within seconds, shots are fired and Jared and Charlie run out of the bank. They are empty-handed and four people are dead. When they refuse to tell her what happened in those few desparate moments, Melanie realizes her brother and son have formed a silent bond. And now they are all on the run from the police, taking a hostage with them and willing to do anything to survive."

Great coffee table book for guys! Cover to cover of fast cars, boats and airplanes. The only thing missing are bikini clad women in their 20's.

This is the third book in her Forest of Hands and Teeth trilogy. This begins shortly after the action in book two (The Dead-Tossed Waves). Annah has survived for three years after her friend Elias joined the Recruiters. She knows she should give up and find a new, safer place to live, but she clings to the faint hope that he’ll come back. And then she meets Catcher, who has a pretty big secret… And, of course, there are hundreds of thousands (and probably millions) of Mudo/Unconsecrated/zombies. I’ve really enjoyed the other two books in this trilogy, but this book was by far the best. I don’t know if it’s because I related to Annah more or if it’s because I knew this was the last, which made me appreciate it more. But ultimately, this book felt less scary*and more of a celebration of life. One of the recurring themes in this book is choosing life and love, choosing to fully experience the time you have left instead of focusing on survival or being afraid. Annah points out that everyone’s dying, whether or not they’ll ultimately come back as Unconsecrated. And that’s true. While the odds of us dying in a zombie attack are quite slim**, we’re ultimately going to die of something. Whether it’s cancer or a heart attack or a mugging gone wrong, none of us are going to live forever. And ultimately, I think Annah and Catcher had the right idea at the end. Take the chance to be in love when it’s there, because walking away from that is what you’ll regret. (Other themes: don’t give up and don’t go anywhere without a weapon. These are also good life lessons, I think. Well, the last one maybe not so much, but if the zombie revolution DOES happen, being armed is a good idea.) * = although still quite creepy ** = I hope
